I left that other forum, the same one, the day after DaveM started this one. I was never treated badly there; but I saw how DaveM and others were treated and I could not abide that. DaveM was treated badly solely because of where he was from. Myself and a good friend both joined here the same day.
You can blame your Mum and Dad for where you were Born, or You can THANK them.
I know what I would do!

Rant and a thank you! First thank you to y’all for being here and y’alls support and advice. Rant concerns other Triumph forums. Years ago when I first got my motorcycle license and started looking at Triumph motorcycles I joined the typical Triumph forums. I apparently broke a rule and said howdy to too many people. The admin said I was post “whoring”. Struck the majority of my posts and to this day I can’t access my profile or delete it. I’ve asked several times to have my access restored or my account deleted. No response. I can log on if I choose to, but that seems pointless. Another forum, I posted to just recently somehow said I was spamming and revoked my posting privileges after my first intro post. Again thanks y’all for being here.
I wasn't treated badly there either, but quickly "jumped ship" over here to TT for the reasons CarlS stated and it's been a great ride here since TUP TUP
Absolutely!

Well, I was born in Finland and my (recent) DNA is almost all from there. Interestingly there was a speck less than a small fraction of a percent that said deep in my ancestral past there was a person from the British Isles. Could be why I’m drawn to British cars and motorcycles, LoL. I don’t particularly understand why anyone’s ancestry or birthplace should upset anyone to a level of antagonism, but I’ve seen it. It is unfortunate considering humanity is in the end all related. We travel, we always have, it’s how we’ve spread from one corner of this globe to another.

The world mix has been complicated not just by War Warriors settling down, but also by murder , rape , money , lies and television ! And a lot of other stuff.
By the time you figure out the lies , there won't be any birthdays left.
Motorcyclists are enthusiasts and put all the crap behind them.
Brit bike only bitch is talk in MPH and BHP + ft.lbs.

Wow can you believe it but yes if it is that forum I am not surprised in the least.

As Rocky said we encourage members to post as much as the want. This is why we also have a few forum areas that are not really related to Triumph bikes as we all have many different hobbies.

That antagonism is political - which is why we don't do politics at TT.

I hate winter and we don't even really have one.
Turn North 5 ,000 miles, go East 10,000 Miles, go South 5,000 miles.
Depending where you settle, you can have summer all the time , or 50 / 50.

Or....20./ 80 in Tasmania.

This was the Direct route by Motorcycle.

May I suggest reading the section of Phil Ervings Autobiography on his trip from Australia to England on a Motorcycle and Sidecar.
