Yes, that's a PITA!
I'm really anal when it comes to paying bills and usually pay them immediately - very often the same day I receive the bill.
My wife was just the opposite. She was the household bookkeeper and always paid the bills, but would wait until almost the last minute before paying them.
Payments were never late, but she often cut it close BGRIN
I pay them immediately and be done with it.

I also pay then the moment I get notification and I have no idea how I missed that one. The problem is with these bills that fluctuate in cost and come on different days I need to keep a lookout for each one so I know what to pay.

I get my utility bills in my email and the others that I get on a regular basis are quite consistent in delivery by post so I more or less know when to expect them.
The three perils: bills, taxes and death BGRIN

I live in a country of constant industrial action. At any one day we have some type of strike or ratioting, I am so sick of it

Right now our garbage collectors are on strike with other municipal workers. They collect our garbage on Thursday normally so we put our bags on the sidewalk for collection. They have moved the bags into piles for collection but have not collected yet. Now you unable to bring in your bags as they all in mixed piles now.

So we also have our power utility works on strike so they now doing rolling blackouts.

That sucks..........

hows that?

Well I have now spent the last two days trying to unblock the outside kitchen drain. I have used 4 different types of draincleaner with no positive results. I have tried the wire hanger as well as the hosepipe.

So tomorrow I call in the plumbers.

I recently had to call in a plumber to deal with a clogged drain too.
He couldn't get rid of the clog (cast iron pipes are many decades old) so he cut out a large section of the old cast iron waste pipe and put in modern PVC. Works super now.

I think these are all concrete type pipes or something in that fashion. The amount of cash I spent on drain cleaner it would have been cheaper and easier to call the plumber first time

DIY is not my thing that is for sure
