I'll find out who she is on Saturday.
Devo - the T100 is a bit heavy for me and it's big front wheel makes handling tight corners awkward for me. And I'm on tippy toes when I stop - if I stop on a heavily cambered road on the off side of the slope, chances are I'll fall over because I can't get my foot down properly. We'd like to keep the T100; it's such a gorgeous bike but I've tried the SE - a little lighter, but the smaller front wheel makes for easier handling. And I can flat-foot on both sides. I have absolutely no sense of direction and make more U-turns than anyone I know and doing u'ies on the Bonny is becoming tiresome - it's like doing a u'ie in installments for me! I'm only 5'4"

Many congrats !

I've worked for two suppliers to your new customer, Eskom, over the past 30 years and never had a problem. Once you've completed a section of work they'll become a first class reference too!

We are Joburg riders and drivers & we therefore gooi u'ies all the time- no need to apologise ;).

Thanks DaveB! I think I'm more adept at gooi'ing u'ies than most. Even my Garmin says "When possible, make a U turn" more that it says anything else!BLUSH

I'm really happy to have this contract - I bailed Eskom out of a sticky situation some years ago but management has changed so nobody knew me - fortunately my other clients gave me good reviews so we're on our way with this one! I can't tell you how thankful I am.

You were at Pilanesburg - who was that tall, slender, blonde woman on a Tiger? She lives in the northern parts of Jhb because we rode home together but I didn't get her name.

fair enuff, you gotta be comfy and confident.
Have you tried out the america or speedy by chance, they have a nice low seat hieght

Devo at the risk of upsetting a few, I don't like the look of the America or the Speedy - to me personally, they remind me a bit of a HD wannabe BLUSH I do really like the Thruxton but again, riding position is not good for me and can't get my feet down. But if was 6inches taller....................

Yes, I remember the Tiger lady- trust me I wouldn't forget her :y6:. I'd never seen her before and I don't know her name. Why not give Nick (Harley) Davidson a ring- he'll know her name for sure. BTW, this is :offtopic:!

Totally off topic but I'm a girl and can multi-talk! I'd also not seen her before - I wonder if she bought her bike from 4-Ways?? But I'll find out on Saturday. Anyway, I'm sure you guys would've LOVED riding behind her!!!

Nick's got all the names of the folks who were on the trip.

I test rode the SE some time back. That 17" front wheel makes all the difference. I think the SE is one really nice bike & I hope there's one in my future. I.e. when I get too old to ride Hinckley triples. And before Silli chimes in with some distinctly rude comment about my age, I maintain that I haven't reached that stage in life yet :y16:!

Not upsetting me at all G, we all have our opinions, but really,do these two look alike to you, apart from the fact that they are both cruiser style motorcycles.?

Well the one trip (rally) I did we stopped at a pub along the road and the only place I could find to park was smack bang in front of the Harley guys. Every one that came out to check the Speedmaster out only had great things to say about it.

Well I asked for it and now I have it - blessed beyond anything I imagined. The same company that awarded me the contract has just awarded me 2 more contracts, slightly bigger than the original one.

I am now knee deep in paperwork and loving it - working 14+ plus days and loving it! Will make our Easter break that much more appreciated! I'm now going to have contract a couple more people to help out just for the duration but that's ok. They've asked me to invoice them now a % of the contract so that I'm 'not out of pocket in any way until the job is over" - can you believe that???

Thank you all for the prayers, good wishes and good vibes! Saying my own big Thank You's everyday!

Well I'm just beside myself - I never thought it would be this good and for sure, I've never had a corporate ask me to bill them in advance so that I'm not out of pocket for disbursements and expenses! I'm astounded.

So that beautiful little black & orange SE may just have a new owner soon :y2:
