So I've now put my WD40 and lighter into my briefcase - no harm in having a back up plan - thanks for the advice
They've asked me to draw up an Engagement Letter and Assignment confirmation so I'm taking that as a good sign. They've phoned a number of my clients for references and I've come out A-OK at that level. I know my pricing was the best simply because I don't have the over-heads of the other candidates.
The problem is getting the 2 board directors from the holding parastatal to actually attend the final meeting. It was these 2 who suddenly found a conflicting a meeting on Tuesday - but they work on 'African time'.
I'm hopin to hear from them today though. As soon as I know, you guys will know.
Update - the Letter of Engagement they requested has been signed and accepted by all parties
The Board of Directors are meeting today at 2pm (after having investigated me??) to finalise their selection of service provider (so why sign the Engagement letter?) Is this just a formality so that they can 'tick' all their boxes?
Will hear either late this afternoon or early tomorrow morning whether I've been assigned the contract or not.
I'm taking it as a good sign that all signatures are in the right places on the Letter of Engagemen!
