I bought it, drove it around for a few months till I finished building the shop and then completely dismantled it.
Going back with a 428 and C6 transmission. Cragar SS's and a bright orange paint job.
I'm finishing the body work this week.

I will expand a bit on my introduction thread. At a very young age I either road in front of my Dad on his 66 Honda 160 twin or bounced behind my sister on her Trail 90, at the age of 9 my neighbor taught me how to ride on a 4spd Trail 70. My first bike was a 1977 KE100 at the age of 12. Owned a bunch since including a '79 Husky 250cr, '72 Maico 250 and 400. Love old Hondas, and in particular the CT70/90's. I have not had a bike in about 7 years, but am finishing up a 1974 Suzuki CT185 that my boss gave me.

The little MR50 has been in the family since new and now that the boys have out grew it, it will be restored. The 185 is shaping up. I am waiting on the new seat cover, and will be getting the decals on the tank this week. Here is the progress on it so far.

My '68 Bonnie is my pride and joy. I never thought I would ever be able to own one, but a friend made it possible. The PO turned it into a scrambler. I will be undoing that to a certain degree. My goal is to keep it original and ride it. A "survivor" so to speak. I have already purchased a nice used front fender. Granpaul already has dibs on the fork brace. lol I have the carbs off in preparation for a rebuild. I still need to find a correct seat, badges, air cleaners, and tail light lens...as well as the mounting hardware for the front fender.

I also just brought home a couple of Honda Hawk projects that will be on the back burner until after the Bonnie is up and running.

We also have some four wheel projects going. A 1971 Plymouth Duster, and a 1972 BMW Bavaria, with a 1965 Mustang on the back burner.

Sam

Wow Sam you sure have some nice project bikes as starters. The paint job on the 185 looks stunning and I remember these bikes form the 70's and they seemed to be great bikes at the time.

With all these bikes lined up to be restored, your not going to be too board over the next few months or so. The 185 looks great, had one of them many moons ago, they were TS 185 here in the UK. Good luck with all your projects

Thanks for the encouragement everyone ! I appreciate all the friendly responses. :y16:

I will go start a couple project threads.....

Oh, and Mad On Triumphs, its going to take longer than a few months for all these. lol

How true you are, I thought that I'd put a few months, as if I put a few years, you might think "Cheeky bugger does he think I'm slow or what " :y2:.
It will be really great to follow these restorations, as almost all the bikes I can relate too in one way or another, I suppose I'm just saying I remember them when I was in my teens, many moons ago now :y47:.
Will be looking forward the the first installment of pictures. You'll certainly have many hours of fun coming your way now BBEER

I think you have a few years worth of projects to keep yourself busy and suspect you would end up adding more to your list as you go along :D

You would suspect correctly. :D

You're a Brit, you were born a "cheeky bugger". :y2: I am slow also. I will drag more home, and jump back and forth on them. Go work on a car, or the garden, or a model...:D
