Where 'bouts? I skied all over them parts "back in the day" now my knees....back.....wrists.....shoulders.....and all would most likely keep in the lodge with some hot chocolate/coconut rum and the snow bunnies :y2:

Photo taken today about 25 miles from my house.

Around here that would be near whiteout conditions.

Lol....that's funny!

It took my Wife 1.5 hours to get the normally 20 minute drive home tonight.

Not because she had problems, but because other people were freaking out and going 2 MPH the whole way.

I went outside this morning and turned around before stepping off the porch. I have 3 steps down from the porch and the snow was even with the deck...you couldn't even see the steps! That's at least a foot of snow and it drifted against the porch which is about 2.5-3 feet up to the deck.

Gotta put on the snowmobile boots and shovel the walkway to locate the car which looks like just a hump of snow!

The storm that gave you all that bad weather is just getting here with high winds and heavy rain.
We're on the eastern side of the front so we're getting warm air.
Temps are expected to be around 14C (57F). It's 10C right now.

Rocky,

It's that damp heavy snow too. The weight took down huge tree branches and entire trees too. I just got done helping a friend cut up a tree from his yard that fell over his driveway.

Wow, it was quite the past 24 hours!!!!!!!
Winds gusted to 100 kph (60 mph) and knocked out power all over the place. I lost power, but only for about an hour.
It was strange to look outside and see lights on across the street and on the adjacent streets, but my quadrant was totally black.
As the lights went out I heard a loud bang in the near distance so maybe a transformer blew out or something like that.
It was a true nor'easter storm and the rain was very heavy and lashing because of the wind.
But the temps were up in the 13-14C range so we didn't have to contend with snow like in many parts of the country.
This morning it's well past and it will be sunny by noon.

Glad you weathered the storm with no damage. It is clear and cool here today. The low this morning was 40F/4.4C and the high will only be 65F/18.3C. Tomorrow our weather starts returning to normal with his around 75F/23-24C.

Wow Rocky glad your o.k. You keep the long Johns you need em more than me.

Checking in at 29 here right now.
I am glad its here at least today, makes it "feel" like the Thanksgivings from my N. Eastern Ohio childhood. :y2:
Fall was and still is always my favorite season, and its in FULL swing now.

The storm dragged up the warm moist air with it, but by dawn tomorrow it will be -5C (23F) as it should be this time of year instead of 9C (48F) like it is now.
But it will warm up a little during the day.
