Best wishes for the weekend. Unfortunately I can't be there cos I'll be on the RAT run to Barberton.

Someone told me that 11 okes have been drummed out of the brownies (booted out of the Breakfast Run class for being too fast!). Is this true?

If you're a younger rider with some talent & ambition it's a very good thing. You get promoted to Formula Xtreme and then the same thing happens there; once you become successful in that class you're then promoted to Regional Superbikes, which is the highest level of racing below National Superbikes. My good friend Erik was given a yellow card after the last race meeting at Red Star because he'd broken below his lap time bracket. That was very impressive cos it was the first time he'd ever ridden the GSXR-750. I think that if/when he gets another 3 yellow cards he'll be automatically promoted in to Formula Xtreme.

However, there is an age limit for this enforced promotion. Silli is above said age limit and the race organisers can never force promote him up to the next class! If, at some stage in the future, he decides that he's fast enough and wants to move up to the next class he can apply to do just that.

Qualifying...... out-lap followed by two timed laps..... then..... turn one - lost concentration - looked where i shouldn't be looking - went wide - kerb - grass - and down I went. BLUSH
Slid along the ground on my back, stopped, and waited. No apparent pain. Opened eyes and all looked ok. Got up and walked to a safe area.

Salvage vehicle loaded the bike, back to scrutineers. The only serious damage was a broken left handlebar. Someone had a spare, so we had the bike fixed before the race.

avion's been working his technical wonders. Whilst at breakfast yesterday he loaded apps on to my new Smartphone (thanks mate) and he's created a Brekkie Run Group on the Whatsapp messaging application & we're already organising our weekend activities.

This means that The Completely Unofficial RAT Silli Supporters' Club will be at Zwartkops on Saturday.

It's not that we'll be putting any pressure on Silli to perform out of his skin (wouldn't dream of it :y6:), but we'll be there in force :y2:!
