Pretty calm here too. Some people waiting for kids to comeback from spring break so they can hit them over the head with base ball bats . I like the composite ones best , but the ash models with the laminated bamboo shoved down the center are popular with the purists .

BGRIN crazy but true story.

14 cases here now and one in hospital. Things are pretty calm here. Senior only grocery shopping from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. May have a go at that if needed.
I'm quite well stocked for a few weeks, but it won't last forever. Fruits and vegetables have be used before they spoil and I will miss them so may have to take a grocery run soon.
Glad you enjoyed my little adventure.

Some of our grocery stores and other businesses are doing seniors shopping hours. I like that idea and will tke advantage of it.

This pandemic is something people will talk about and it will be referred to many years from now - something the way 9/11 is still mentioned today - and that wasn't that long ago.
It will not only be the loss of life but the financial disaster that it caused.

In Florida, we have 520 cases and 10 deaths. The majority of the cases are in south Florida, in particular Broward (Ft Lauderdale) and Dade (MIami) counties. In my county and the three counties that border us, there are a total of 42 cases. This area includes Orange County (Orlando) and the major theme parks. Brevard County, home of the Kennedy Space Center and the launching complexes has 4 cases. The US has 14,240 cases. Washington state, New York state, and California the hardest hit.

As the saying goes, "Much truth is oft said in jest."

One more case turned up here, but it's not spreading wildly. That makes 15 and was a traveler coming from another country. No deaths so far, thank goodness!
People seem to be following the rules and not in a panic.
I went out for a short walk yesterday and the streets are eerily empty and quiet. I've never seen it like that.

No cases in my area reported , yet! So I'm going about my usual life. I don't go to bars/pubs or eat out all the much. This personal displacement is my usual routine. I live in northern MI. there are not tons of people here! Social displacement is the wrong usage. I'm still being social! I call, text, use Facebook, and Instagram.

I think "social distance" is the correct term. Mabel and I used to eat out a couple of times a week, Neither of us visit bars/pubs. Church services are on line so we no longer go to church. I am still riding and kayaking.; but I keep distance from others.

ROTFL TUP TUP

I agree Carl, there's lots of things you can do that easily avoids people.
You have good weather there so can easily get outside and do your normal things you mention.

Yes. I am certainly blessed in that respect. In fact, I am about to go out in the great outdoors and trim, edge, weed whack and mow. :y23:

I think the only people that must be enjoying the current situation are the Doomsday Preppers as they finally get to test out their bunkers in a real life situation
And I know some of those people!
