Its gathering momentum here now as of yesterday there have been over 119 deaths and confermed just over 5000 tested posative but the estamated number is 50.000 +, with all our sckools closing on friday .
But for me the biggest worry is the world economy it will be devistated and take many decades to recover from and were only just getting over the last crisis of 15 years ago !

It is most definitely an economic disaster. Small businesses are really hard hit here. The big theme parks have the assets to ride it out. The airlines are really hurting too.
There are 20,000 troops been put on alert and given powers to arrest people who dont have a good reason to be traveling or out and about and to help police and NHS .
We haven't gotten there - yet.

yes indeed, those rolls are a bit "large" aren't they.
Our one local radio station had an interview with one of the people that now has the virus.

I heard that too from several sources.
I went to Publix (a grocery supermarket) yesterday morning. I arrived about 45 minutes before opening time. There were 12 folks there ahead of me. The doors opened promptly at 0800. It was a Lemans start! Folks running, screeching around corners with carts all headed for the aisle 11 - toilet paper! I was right there with them; in fact I ended up number 4 having started in the 13th position. I wisely was unencumbered by a cart. My prize was a pack of 12 toilet paper rolls and a pack of three. That will last us two weeks. In less than three minutes the shelves were empty.
Since it was 0815, I drove to Sam"s Club arriving about 0830. Sam's Clun opens at 0930. There were already over 200 folks in line and a cop on duty for crowd control. I chatted with him a few minutes ans went back home. Where are Smokey and the Bandit with that Charmin truck?

crazy but true story.14 cases here now and one in hospital. Things are pretty calm here. Senior only grocery shopping from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. May have a go at that if needed.
I'm quite well stocked for a few weeks, but it won't last forever. Fruits and vegetables have be used before they spoil and I will miss them so may have to take a grocery run soon.
