Just heard on the news now that two people that were tested positive for the virus and did not go into self quarantine and were found moving around have been charged with attempted murder.

This is the only way to handle people like this.
Where the heck do they put them ?

Our lockdown starts at midnight tonight. I had to go out to get meds this morning. Never in my life have I seen such madness. People are driving like crazy people, I came across a few accidents. A taxi just turning out of a parking nearly took me out. If the lane on the right had a car next to me I would have hit either it or the taxi.

There are long lines of people waiting outside some of the stores. There is no parking anywhere so people are just parking anyplace they find a spot.

The amount of traffic on the roads is just stupid, even the back roads are bumper to bumper. Four way stops are now a free for all and people are just driving through them when they should be stopping.
Holy :shit: Dave. Stay safe!!!!!

And the more people you can get to isolate and the quicker this virus is controlled. Testing is mucho importanto
!00% on target. However, this plague will not be controlled until there is a vaccine for it. For example bubonic plague, polio, yellow fever, rabies, various influenza stains, etc.

I have heard rumors from the medical community that hot weather should slow down the virus, if so its going to have a tough time where i live, only thing is that it is a rumor. All we can do is just stay away from people and wait it out. I sure hope all of you guys can weather the storm. Dave sounds like the people you live around are complete idiots, any way you can pack up and leave, of coarse you can't pack everything and when you come back every thing would be gone.

The Black Death (bubonic plague) still has around 1-3000 cases a year and has no vaccine and it requires antibiotics to defeat as it's bactetial. 30-60% death rate. Nasty but most of the time survivable today.

The plague is a serious bacterial infection that can be deadly. Sometimes referred to as the “black plague,” the disease is caused by a bacterial strain called Yersinia pestis. This bacterium is found in animals throughout the world and is usually transmitted to humans through fleas.Jan 3, 2018

The Plague: Types, Causes & Symptoms

Agree 100%. To get Covid 19 gone would need a vaccine but they have been working on a SARS vaccine for 20+ yrs. I don't know if they will get it figured out but with the walls between the research at hospitals and big pharma being somewhat pulled down by this pandemic maybe it will be created.

Back in the 80's I had a chance to move to Australia. Being young at that stage one could afford to start over and build a life.

Now being into retirement and the state of things it is impossible to start over unless you have mega millions to be able to take the huge financial loss when moving, the exchange rate now is around R17 ZAR to $1US.

We also have now seen the huge stock market crash that is not being very friendly to anyone like myself that has retirement invested into it.
