Gee..................nobody has had anything to rant about lately, so I'll add one. This is the result of hitting a large crack/pothole on one of our local highways yesterday. Was on the centerline at the start of a passing zone. I had just started to pull out and overtake a slower moving vehicle and hit the hole at about 80 kph(50 mph). Made the bike wobble quite a bit, but I maintained control, completed the pass safely and did not feel I needed to pull over right away. Was a short ride home so checked there and found the damaged rim. Dammit, that's gonna cost me.

That's me standing in the hole for comparison purposes. I wear size 11 hikers. Didn't have time to measure it, but I'd say it's at least 4-6 inches deep and about 3-4 feet long and 4-6 inches wide.

Damn! Glad you’re ok, the parts can be replaced.

That type of hole can easily bring you down if it catches the front wheel right, glad you ok

Face mask mandates. If you prefer to wear a mask then so be it, if not don't treat me like a criminal or freak show. If I had the virus I'm sure it's ALL over me and a mask is not going to make you safe. Also the eyes are a very likely spot for any virus to enter. I'd prefer the only mask should be on the news media. End rant.
