Snow is melting and a warm 6C right now. Expecting about 9C for a high. Turned water back on, so far no issues. Warming up the outdoor car, had it under a tarp. So far so good.
It's 34 F here at noon. This is the the first time we've been above freezing in three
days. We had all of faucets dripping. Now all are turned off. The temp went down to 16 F last night. The bad weather was south of us. Our roads are clear and dry.

15 C was the low here this morning . Beautiful sunshine today but not enough to get the snow sliding off my solar panels . Think it’s the first time this has happened .
City of Houston made a major pitch for people not to drip this time. Their reason was they were worried about loss of water pressure. I had already made up my mind to drain and turn off.

That’s been my usual understanding, but Houston has been having water pressure issues and the engineers didn’t want to add to it.
Oh sh*t !! this storm is massive . Ireland is set to to get up to 156mph winds tonight and we are getting up to 140mph its going to be a rought couple of days .

That polar vortex sure is giving everyone a weather workout.
Our warm up starts next weeks, mid 60's-70's F.

Are there going to be any trees standing afterwards? You're right to expect a lot of clean-up.
its just started Ireland are getting 114mph at the moment and its just starting here but its still quite low wind speeds at the minute 50mph .

What’s going on anyway . Can’t believe this system just passed us by without notice . Years ago all those storms used go right over our heads , provided loads of wet snow and set spring back another month . Maybe that Climate Cruncher some kids are sharing about is for real .
If Shane gets those forecasted winds there won’t be a curling rink with a roof left in the country . Almost a foot of snow in north Florida is looking pretty mild compared to the LA fire , that’s enough to make me cry .

Hey guys, i have been reading all of this, i am about freeze to death, when i built my house i went overboard with freeze prevention and hurricane resistance to save my house and it worked. We are in good shape and the weather has not hurt us all that much but it is cold had about 6-8 inches of snow on the gulf coast (that's gulf of America) so i am officially waiting on summer now my Tri is too!
