Saturday started out in the mid 60s here in Central Texas. Left the house about 0800 to attend a prayer breakfast. A couple of hours later in had warmed to 80 as I rode back home. I then headed to Austin for an alleged grand opening at AR1 Racing. They have taken over the Triumph line from Ride Now and claimed they were going to have amenities for anybody showing up. Got there about 1230 and there was really nothing. It was 86 at that point, but still enjoyed the 75 mph ride on the toll roads getting there. Heading back home about 1400. It was still 86. It was down to 84 by the time I finished the hour ride back home. Unfortunately, we are supposed to have another good front this week, with several chances for rain. So I'm not sure how much riding I'll get to do.

Suffering yet again with 80+F temps and long lazy rides around DFW. Oh the angst and anticipation of getting some cooler weather..
Hey, mebbe you can come on up to Montana where, right now, it's fourteen degrees and gonna be twenty below tonight! No riding going on around here, I can tell you . . . ice and snow and . . . did I mention ice . . . and cold and . . . snow . . .

Weather is ‘‘ok’’ … cloudy but no snowing, not windy, -5C

I’m going cross-country/nordic skiing a slightly longer run with a friend (according to the map, 29 km). Something to take with you in a thermos bottle, a little something to eat. We fry sausages and make coffee with campfires along the way. Let’s see how the muscle condition lasts :).
My muscles are still sore , just from reading about the skiing .

Up in Beaver, where we come from, my "Poppin' Johnnie" cleared a path to Barn and Tack room. Then an eighth of a mile to the main dirt road. Then I fired the bike up and sat in the garage For 45 min. Beautiful scenery in the mountains.

Sunny with a high of 62° (17°C) expected today. Rare and much needed rain next 3 days so I'll take the ol' '72 out to an appointment today, 9.4 miles. Hope it doesn't break, it's up for sale. -BA
