Hey guys, i have been reading all of this, i am about freeze to death, when i built my house i went overboard with freeze prevention and hurricane resistance to save my house and it worked. We are in good shape and the weather has not hurt us all that much but it is cold had about 6-8 inches of snow on the gulf coast (that's gulf of America) so i am officially waiting on summer now my Tri is too!
You should have paid more attention to securing your house to the foundation . It’s obviously been blown a huge distance from the original location . I have no idea where the gulf of America is … maybe it’s in Newfoundland close to Pasadena .
No report from Scotland yet , hope Shane is ok

Hi all just got the power back on .... its been off for a couple of days but all is good now.
we did get high winds witch did do a lot of damage to roofs and buildings all over the country ,
but it was not quite as bad as predicted we mostly escaped with 90 - 100mph but some places did see 120mph .
I think here on the estate we fared quite well as we lost most of the weaker trees in the last big storm in 2020 , so all the buildings here are ok just the odd slate off here and there .

Glad to hear you made out with minimal damage and the storm wasn’t as bad as perditioned

Thank you for the update. So glad you were spared big damage and that your power is restored. TUP

Well today we having some much welcome rain. When we got up this morning it was raining like that proper coastal rain that we use to get. With it being 25 degree Celsius = 77 degree Fahrenheit with a 99% humidity. My pool is loving this type of rain and is now slowly filling up as I have the overflow from my rain water tank going into the pool. I have had to turn off the pool pump for more than a week now due to the pool level being to low for the pump to work. This rain is supposed to last until tomorrow night so if it does I will be able to turn on the pool pump again.

Dave, that is good news.

Weather is ‘‘ok’’ … cloudy but no snowing, not windy, -5C

I’m going cross-country/nordic skiing a slightly longer run with a friend (according to the map, 29 km). Something to take with you in a thermos bottle, a little something to eat. We fry sausages and make coffee with campfires along the way. Let’s see how the muscle condition lasts :).

We got a little dump of snow here in Fredericton yesterday. Not a lot of snow on the ground for this time of the year. BUT finally enough on the ground to get the old 1999 Arctic Cat ZL 600 project sled out for a little rip. Time to get a trail pass and scratch that 2 stroke smell itch ;-).

Hope ya enjoy. Sleds can be fun. Yes, finally, have enough snow in our area to use them. Barely.
