Like Rocky we have been spared from Ernesto’s wrath. Like others we got our first air conditioner 7 or 8 years back and it runs off and on for 3 months at most . This years been the hottest ever with lots of rain so many crops are a month ahead which of course is unheard of .Thanks for the good wishes, guys
More excitement coming! Likely hurricane heading for Texas coast east of Galveston by Wednesday. Hoping it does exactly that. Predictions unsure yet since it doesn’t have a center yet. What fun!

Hopefully if its path goes east of us we will just get rain. Centerpoint our “fabulous” energy company sent out messages telling people that are dependent on electricity for their medical needs to prepare a backup. For many there is no viable backup.UGH

i considered TX when I escaped CA, I like TX but not its’ weather.
Most of the time it’s okay. I agree though, you’re area has less natural dangers.
After what was probably the driest/hottest August ever we just got an inch or so of rain on the weekend. According to the news some potato fields actually failed , lots that had irrigation were using it for sure . Things looking noticeably greener this morning , 9C at sunup and getting to 19 later in glorious sun shine .

He should be safe. It looks like it will land west of New Orleans putting it on the dirty side. Estimates say it could power up to a cat 2.
Yes, he looks west of dead center of the track and m y last friend on southeast Arkansas looks west of the track.

I do too, but regrettably, there is a new storm heading towards North America. It's still days away but my fingers are crossed and hoping it won't be a killer for the US and maybe us.
Got about a millimeter of rain during golf yesterday . Things are parched , you might say . Not normal for a coastal location but hesitant at blaming climatic changes . Potato crops normally have to be killed before harvest . They are dying of thirst in the fields now . Still water in the taps though .
