The damage and devastation is mind boggling.
I agree. It's almost more than you can comprehend.
The storm has downgraded and is over central Canada now with high winds and heavy rain. Some damage in Ontario and Quebec, but a pittance compared to NYC and area.
We are beyond lucky here, but the outer tentacles are reaching us and bringing wind gusts, heavy rain and thunder storms over the next two days. It's very mild at 15C (59F).
We're having short periods of utter calm and then a wind gust with lashing rain.
I just heard that some of our Power Corp. crews are heading for the US to help out with the recovery now that the danger to us is small.

Damage estimates have been announced...it's approximately $50 Billion dollars.....or about 1/2 of what Obama wasted on green energy companies that have gone bankrupt.

Friend of mine in NYC just posted a load of photos taken from his apartment on FB - devastating. CNN was showing footage of Atlantic City this morning - there's nothing left! This is Katrina, but worse, all over again and it's not as if NYC hasn't had it's fair share of tragedy in the last 10 years.
