Since the Mrs came over to the States we’ve only had one cat that freaked out in the crate. He was the 1st one we took on, Old Ginger boy. We would give him a couple drops of Children’s Liquid Benadryl for the odd road trip we had to take to FL and then the Vet gave us Gaberpentin to calm him down. The Benedryl worked but you could tell he was still pretty disturbed. He would try to keep his head up and he would drool everywhere. Gaberpentin chills them right out and puts them in La-LaLand. Ask your vet for a proper sedative if it's the cage that sets your pet off. AFAIK it won't adversely effect visits to the vet's office.

Spike at work yesterday. That's "Cat TV" off YouTube. Amusing little time killer. He was a saint. Poor little guy took 3 needles at the vet. One of them looked like a sewer pipe they jabbed between his shoulder blades.

Lou, Rotty/Yellow Lab. Great around kids, cats and all the other critters we have around here. Except raccoons. He kills or tries to

kill any raccoon he sees and I don’t know why. He eats and mostly lives indoors but somewhere in his past a coon started this war. Buddy the cat just chills.

Owen living up to his namesake pullin’ security. There’s a fairly vocal dog across the street about 100yds from his position right there. Every so often he hunkers down and does an overwatch like this.

Snatch came back yesterday evening, meowing loudly. Must be three months since his last visit. Didn't want food, drank four jars of milk.

Went upstairs a couple of hours, he'd slipped away by time I came back down.

Well I thought I would treat the cats and get them a water fountain. It arrived this morning and so far the cats are not impressed. The one cat watched it with interest for a bit. It must have made her feel thirsty as she jumped down and ran to her normal water bowl and had a good drink.

Well today after none of my cats wanting to drink from the water fountain I purchased them and only the cat from down the road using it I was going to pack it away. So I thought I would try one last time with the cat that I really thought would use it. So I put him in front of it and he ended up loving it, so maybe there is still hope for this.

That’s the way cats are. They can ignore a toy for months and when you put it away, the want it! LoL.
