I'm still making slow but sure progress on this beast. Wondering if any members have an idea where I can get an exhaust system for this Rickman Mark 3, with a Triumph T120R 650 engine? Like to buy one that doesn't need any alteration. Thanks for any advice!

Tried an email to the current owner of Rickman? I know he's not well but he might answer with some suggestions?

TT pipes, with either baffles in the pipe ends or mufflers?

Stock Triumph exhaust system, perhaps with some non-stock mufflers?

Whichever mufflers you use, I suspect you might have to put some thought/work into their mounting.

Meriden began machining crankcase castings more accurately from some time in 1970; after that, cases might not have been bored together but still matched
What does it entail 'matching' case halves but not boring them together? Grinding surfaces for flat mating with no gaskets weeping oil?

Thanks Rudie. Yes on contacting Rickman - but no response yet - so we will see and I wish him well. I was thinking of TT pipes as they should work without a problem - at least for my initial start and such. I suppose this is not really a big problem with all that is going on in the world. I appreciate all of your advice and comments over the last couple of years!

OK. What is this! On the Gearbox inner cover on the bottom, front edge is a fitting that looks like it is a modification. The fitting is also plugged. Does anyone have an idea of what this would have been for? I may have it welded up if it is not necessary. Thanks.View attachment 53260View attachment 53261View attachment 53262
That is the old style speedometer drive. You probably have a newer model rear wheel that takes a speedo gearbox on the right side of the hub.
