SIGH .... Well this fridge did not last long either back in the same position with one fridge that now does not work. We still have the protective plastic on the sides of it and it looks as good as the day we got it. I think that I need to keep away from Samsung fridges. So now the fight starts all over again with Samsung as I have just sent them a complaint with all the email and documentation I have from the last story FACE

Well I suppose it did last 2 years 3 month and only had to be repaired once in that time :y7: :y2: The fridge that I had before these two my brother gave it to me and he had it for a good few years. We had in around 20 years or so and when we gave it away when I purchased the first of these it was still working great. I could understand if this was a low end model and cheap but it is far from that. Now I have the fridge guy coming on Monday but before he even leaves the office I must pay the call out fee, then of course everything else on top of that, so yes I suppose you could say I am a little bit ANGRY

And to top it all we going through a heat wave right now :y54:

I have a Pope fridge that is about 50 years old..I use it to keep my beer cold.
I also have a 4 year old Fisher & Paykel (New Zealand) that I have had to replace the thermostat in four times.
Also have a Simpson Washer over 25 years old that 10 years ago developed a bit of a noise in the gear box.
I called a service man out ($50) he said he would have to take it away to replace the gearbox...I just stuck with it "as is"
& it is still going strong..noise has quietened down as well.

Used to be a great brand. My F&P fridge is 20 plus years old and have never touched it.
Went offshore for all there assembly about 2000 and from there they went downhill fast.
Now been bought by Haier.Personally,I think a lot of great companys go down in quality when they go public ownership and the shareholders dictate policy.
