I read on my news page this morning that there is a lull in new cases in South Africa that is baffling everyone.
Any truth to that?
Our cases just went over 400, and of course mostly in this city area because this is where half the population lives.
Some still not getting it and self-isolating when they return from being away. Stiff fines are being issued.
Idiots are standing in line like it was a normal day FACE

Rocky I have been reading about countries that have high rates of TB and have been giving vaccinations against this at birth are fairing better than those not doing so. However once again one needs to take everything with a pinch of salt that you do read as no one really knows for sure.

I found this about South Africa

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-52228932
Now we did a huge drive in testing and this is ongoing so is it also that these results have not all been seen, do we have a huge number just sitting that are infected and not yet showing any signs of it. The way people have been ignoring the lock down I am expecting a huge shock heading our way in the next few weeks.

On another note, I met this guy from Canada on the internet some time back and we have been chatting online over a long period. On the first of April he reported that he tested positive and was not feeling that great. I have not heard from him since and he was always a very chatty person, so I hope he is doing ok.

That was the news item I saw about the lull in SA cases. I hope it isn't, but I too fear this is just a calm before the catastrophe if people aren't taking the "rules" seriously.

Your online friend could very well be in a hospital. I too hope he's OK. Let's hope he shows up soon.

I must admit I am extremely worried about what we might have coming in the next few weeks but time will tell.

I sure hope my friend is ok as we have really nice chats online.

I saw this chart on Facebook with the question:

'Why has the world been brought to a stand still? Something seems off here'.

I checked the latest info on the worldometers site and Coronavirus dates are almost 117,000 world wide as of today (13 Apr), so still less than seasonal flu.

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but it does seem to be a legitimate question.
