After I work all the bugs out I've got 2 possible trips this summer. Georgia to meet a riding buddy of mine that moved from MN a few years back, and possibly Colorado where my wife would fly out there and I would ride out and meet a group. She couldn't handle a long trip on a motorcycle yet (she gets sleepy riding 2 hours in a day on her bike) :)

Well wherever you decided PLEASE don't forget your camera, I went to Colorado in 1997 The year of el niño ( Peed it down most of the time :y48: )
Went through Georgia on a Greyhound bus, in 1979 ( Well I was on a strict budget ) on the way down to Disney World from Norwich Ontario Canada.
Oh yes I almost forgot, the bikes looking good too.

I MAY get out there...haha. I suppose I could swing down there on the way to Georgia then...hmm.....about 1000 miles from my house to Huntsville Alabama :) maybe I'll try to plan for that. Not sure how much riding I can get in to test the beast out and see how the tires hold up. They aren't worn too bad, but they are dual sport style so I may have to buy a new set when I get down there :)

Yes sir, I've got a GoPro and would probably be buying a newer version by then so I'd have 2! I run a small side business cleaning carburetors for people so there are some perks for some good write-offs :)

Yep. And if all goes according to plan...we've got 36 degrees this weekend! I may get out for a short ride to iron some of the bugs out :) I got my rear caliper and brake line in yesterday. I now have all brakes up to snuff. She's drivable as-is now! Just going to be a bit cold!

Definitely. The roads should be clear by then. I've got a dirtbiking background and I've got to ride well over 100+ different bikes because of working on the carbureted bikes around here. Lots of fun. I even take the Aprilia on dirt roads sometimes :sneaky: haha. I'll be good.

Speaking of mishaps...are there any plans for making your own "crash" bars? Thinking of making something for the bike's own good :) I am relatively short afterall...

I'll do a search for those and see what I can come up with. I'd like to at least copy a known design so that I know it's relatively sound (up until my welding ability of course) I've got a tubing bender that has a 1" and 1.5" die that I've used for frames and such before. (I need to get me 2" and 2.5" for exhausts next!!)

Nice good choices there! I've got Metzlers on it currently. Tread looks OK, just want to be ready for anything!

Here's the progress so far. Got the tank and sidecovers painted up. Need to learn how to polish clear coat now...never done it after painting since all of my other "paint jobs" have been rattlecan...heh. Found out why my rear brake off ebay was sticking...a little gunked up. Stops great now, and doesn't stick anymore!

So far so good. Still dealing with some title issues but I thought I would update and say hello!

Looking for a girlie fairing currently. As I can't find one as of yet, please let me know if you have seen any for sale!

Thanks and again, I really appreciate you guys helping me out while I was getting this lovely bike up and running again!

There are loads for sale over here I will try and find a dealer who ships world wide , it's coming on well I know how it is when your looking for parts ! I've just Finnish my super 3 and it was impossible to find some of the parts .
But it all comes together in the end and it's well worth the wait , keep up the good work (y)

Thanks gents!! Shanered6, I really appreciate it. Can't seem to find a SINGLE girlie Tiger here....haha. Let me know if you find something, color doesn't matter since I'll end up painting it anyways. I dig my "mad max" look while it sits in the shop here, but I just can't bring her out like that!

Good news! I found a slightly rashed fairing! I've got to repaint anyways so all is well! $130 total. I didn't think that bad. No cracks and mounting tabs all intact!
I'm looking for the two side panels that go on the fairing currently. Also, looking for a front fender (both front and rear) I also was able to pick up both gas tank side covers (by the seat called "infill panels") one NOS for $20 and another $15. Lastly, I was able to find another exhaust that had the full extension that twists around the frame/brake area on the right side and turns up. It came with an O2 sensor that I should be able to get to work with mine too. Being that it came from an 03' Tiger, we'll see. Worst case is that I have the spot to put it in now and it's not all "rigged" up like my current exhaust!

Moving along gents!

OH! And if anyone has a spare windscreen (windshield) they aren't using, please let me know and I'll buy it from you guys versus ebay if you are willing to let one go for around $50 or so
