Hi,
I'll skip the debate over upstate versus downstate New York. I live in the Hudson Valley region of New York and enjoy three-season riding in the area. I've been riding since 1979, but I've only had my Triumph for the last three years. I picked up my '79 adventurer so that I would have a ride ( that worked ) to teach my 25-year-old daughter how to ride safely. We spent several weekends practicing in a school parking lot, and then she took the Motorcycle Safety (MHS) course. She did so well that they asked her to come back with some riding experience and teach— what a proud moment for a biker dad! The best ride for me is a slow cruise on back roads thru the woods... dirt roads even better all while chatting with my daughter over our Sena comms
I love to have fun and i'll fiddle with anything that runs on gas—boating, biking, jet skiing, and even some amateur sports car racing. But now, at 60-something, I'm slowing put a '73 R75 /5 BmW back together... and cruising while trying to not get in anyone's way. I've been lurking here for a while, but I decided to contribute something today. Thanks!
