It got to 15 c on the North shore here yesterday also . The north side is far enough ( 2 to 40 miles ) from the south side that a south wind comes right off the water , keeps us a little cooler before gathering some heat off the land and reaching the north shore communities . On a day when it’s really a hot or cold ride we stick to either shore accordingly . The Keys probably aren’t wide enough for that , would be nice to be there
for fish and Key Lime pie though .
No, the Keys are too narrow for that effect. I'll join you for the fish and Key lime pie! TUP. I will have Key lime pie and pecan pie Christmas day!

I finished rebuilding the rear suspension on my 73 Tiger 750. I initially stripped it because the rubber seals were missing and/ or damaged. This combined with a lack of lubrication resulted in badly corroded spacers and damaged bushes.

I have fitted new spacers and bushes which had to be reamed. Whist I had everything dismantled I used Jenolite to freshen up the normally inaccessible black parts and swing arm. I also fitted 45 degree grease nipples to aid future maintenance and tidied up the Koni Dial-a-ride shocks.

Sub-sea welder?!!! What a specialized occupation! Lloyd Bridges (Mike Nelson) would be proud of you. What do you think you spent "most" of you time on...oil rigs, pipelines or communications cables?

Changed my oil. Yawn! I hear. Let me explain...

I use a self-priming pump. Don't have to get under bike and undo sump plug--you know, when the oil then runs up your arm? Doesn't happen to me anymore.

Also syphon out primary cavity. Use a thinner tube for this, from a wet'n'dry vac.

Then, because I'm not very strong, and I usually miss a funnel and oil goes everywhere, I pump oil back in from the large can I have.

Usually I pump oil back into primary cavity, but forgot this time. I'll ride bike, then top up main oil reservoir.

No messy tray. No mess at all really. Done it in house before.
Wow. I'm impressed. We had 12 inches of snow in Vermont today, so all I did was toss another blanket over my '65 Lightning.

Since you obviously have some drag racing connections, I’ll throw in some crap .
Like many of us , before I got the bike bug I was into cars . I had a Junior Supercar with a 4 speed and learned a lot about what not to do to cars . I was race announcer for a couple of years , the money was good , before I got into dirt bikes and learned what not to do to them . Raced snowmobiles as well . Back in the day in Canada it was common for youngsters to work for a dealer in sales or service and race their equipment year round .
Anyway since you’re into the digs I’ll send along these photos of Rocket and his AA/fuel 836 Honda . These things ran 180 mph back in the seventies or so .
Love your bike !

When I bought my 2020 T120 a little less than a year ago, it had bug screen and no electronic cruise control. I am turning it into a touring bike. The first mod I made was to add OEM cruise control. In 2020 cruise control was an option.

The Dart fly screen was fine for local riding in the South Florida summer heat and humidity. It wasn't so great for long trips, but tolerable. For me is was not suitable at all for distance riding in cold weather. Thus on New Year's Eve day, I installed a Madstad windshield. I have now ridden over 600 miles with this windshield and it is great! It doesn't seem to affect fuel mileage at all.

The big driving lights are automotive. When I had my crash on Black Friday 2022, I had my high beams on my my fog lights on and still the lady diver didn't see me. So I installed lights to be seen. I'm not concerned about looks. I went to be safe and ride comfortably. I'm slowly making Bonnie a touring machine.
