The red thing heats the seat. I will install it under the seat cover (which I have).

The black piece in the middle is a gear shifter lever supporter ... or stabilizer.

The last one on the left will help to park on slope etc. Or in traffic lights (etc.) you can rest your hands.
=> you can lock the front brake lever.
What brand is the heat element?

Taken a few years ago. Us Canucks are almost as crazy as those Finns.
Was 8-10C that day.

There is a video on YouTube of a group of older Finns men who are riding in wintertime (Lapland). In the morning? -27C (-16,6F). The night had been even colder. They needed to do some ''extra preparations'' to get their bikes starting ... all had BMW's (some GS models) except one who had a Tiger ... which started the last of all. Funny video ... few people came against them with the snow bikes. I showed the video in Moto Guzzi forum. The men got some respect by riding snowy/icy roads like they did. I guess, that is something that many (globally) have never done. And who knows, some of them could have been old speedway riders (there are lots of those in Finland).

Come to think of it I won a regional ice racing championship , 250 expert , a couple of years ago . When the season was over we’d hit the snomobile trails on the knobbys with sheet metal screws . It was no problem at all , almost as fast as the dirt but the sleds were way faster .
Since we’re on a weather subject , we are in the path of the eclipse for Monday afternoon . Q will be blessed also . Any one else out there in the path ,would be nice to hear from you .

Or have you softened in the USA and lost your ''SISU''?

I keep myself culturally more Swede than Finn ... and we do just something like this (small things):

LoL. I do have fond memories when my grandad cut a hole in the lake for a plunge after sauna. It was definitely fun, but I ran as quickly back into the sauna as my little legs could move. I was about seven years old. I have sisu when I need it. LoL. ”Harmaankiven läpi” if needed.

I traveled to Arkansas to be in the path of it. I just hope the cloud cover is broken.

All the snow had already melted away (in my living area) but then we got (Fri-Sat) more than 20cm new white snow. It will also stay on the ground at least next week. Some people had already changed the summer tires to their cars and caused some traffic accidents.

A beautiful Sunday on P.E.I.
14c with sunshine and lots of bikes out . Harleys in groups of half a dozen and big GS models riding by their lonesome but very well attired . We were in the hockey rink from 9 till 2:30 for the girls U15 finals . PEI over NS 7 to 3 , sorry Rocky .
Wednesday till Saturday we’ll be in Mirimachi , maybe till Sunday but we probably won’t make the finals . It will be the end of my grandsons junior career so kind of sad really . He’s scheduled for surgery in September FADF4104-9D2B-4CD6-A331-127F87EDC446.jpeg
