I remember the driveway incident as well. That front bumper is a serious piece of hardware.
What kind of trailer do have to fix up? Utility?

That bumper is kangaroo rated so I figure I can use it stateside to protect from pregnant neighbors and white-tails.

I have a 5x10 utility trailer that I'm looking to update. It served it's function of haul our race bikes all over Texas for several years and I want to replace the current spindles to accept tires and wheels to match the truck. Still trying to design a lift on it to raise and lower a roof top tent to allow me to get Jessica under it for traveling. I don't want the RTT to have to remain elevated enough to get her under it, but would rather raise it high enough to roll Jessica under it then lower the RTT to where the leading edge is just behind the tank and a little above the seat. I'm also looking at a sliding kitchen that I can extend out the rear of the trailer and have the other side set up for storage to replace the chest I've had at the front of the trailer to carry our race gear, spare parts and tool box. My oldest son is wanting to do about the same thing with a trailer so we've discussed working together to get it set up. We just need my youngest son to design the systems for us. . . I need to put his soon to be finished engineering degree to good use.

Sounds cool, Hemi. I thought about building my own "toy hauler" out of an enclosed cargo trailer rather than buying an overpriced, extremely heavy toy hauler from one of the trailer manufacturers.

Yeah, those store bought toyhaulers are heavy. I thought about an enclosed trailer but with only the Taco to pull it I figured I could build the utility trailer to my spec's and keep the weight in a range I'll be satisfied with and keep it more budget friendly not to mention built to what I want. One of the most important features it will have to have is the off-road ability of an adventure trailer.

I also remember that incident, i do like both of those bumpers especially the rear one.
At the time I ordered the front bumper I didn't know the company that made my rear bumper and the sliders I'm planning to install this weekend also make from bumpers. To be honest at that time I didn't know they made rear bumpers either. When I went down to pick the bumper and sliders up I had the chance to see a lot of hardware that was fixing to go to the powder coaters and a bunch they were getting ready to ship out to customers. All I can say is WOW if you need bumpers, sliders, or skid plates and can wait 3 months to have them built I found the place to get them.

My son ordered sliders from them 5 years ago and they have not changed, they still make your armor as ordered. I talked to them about my front bumper and their comment was they would like to be as big as ARB but they want to keep on top of the quality of their products. The owner was or at least said he was impressed by ARB's ability to keep up the quality they are known for even with as much as ARB has grown over the years. So if you ever need armor for your pickup or SUV, give Shrockworks a look, and no, I have no connection with the company other than being a happy customer.

Another end is near. . . the major farkeling of the Taco has been completed. My oldest and I installed my new suspension. All I have left to do is mount my radio/antenna, install the snorkel, and build my roof rack. I guess there's a few lights that will be added and possibly a winch in the future.

The end is indeed near .. The eight sign of start of the apocalypse includes , shall be the ceasing of rolling rims ( Nostradamus ) . Tim Hortons recently announced Canadians will no longer physically roll up the coffee cup rim as part of their annual promotion. Head for higher ground while you can !

No more Rrrrrrrolllll up the rim to win? The apocalypse is indeed upon us. Good thing Hemi got his rig finished in time. I own an F 150, so I'm good already. ;)

Hemi, that's some nice looking lift hardware and rock sliders. Grease zerks(nipples, for the older less sensitive crowd) and all. Should last a good while. Gonna get any pics of the Taco in action?

My rwd Colorado is already to tall to get in and out of but my 91 year old mom can still manage without help . When she complains I’ll have to install those step things and create a few more places for the rust to start .

Get my Ham radio installed and I'll be ready.

Yeah, zerks everywhere with this build, I even ordered them for the shackle pins on the rear leaf. I'm headed back to Louisiana for a Pen Turners Gathering in my old stomping grounds and hope to go out to some of the areas I used to hunt, might have a photo from there.

G'day all. Well, after approx 6 yrs off the site, I'm back, along with my recently purchased 2013 Trophy SE. I have checked in occasionally but never had anything to offer as I was riding the BMW R1200RT. I have just clocked up 137,000 klms on the Beemer and as I now work so much closer to home, don't commute long distance any more. 1hr 15 mins each way down to 10 mins each way :) So, I bought a Honda CB125S for the local commute and updated the Beemer to the Trophy. I must say that I love the Beemer but it's time to part ways.

I got the Trophy locally (there isn't many about) and am absolutely thrilled with it. Quick, smooth and for a big bike, so very easy to ride. Worlds apart from my 2001 Trophy 1200 although I loved that bike too!

Planning a ride up to Queensland in May or June to escape the Southern Australian winter. Should tick over about 4000 klms two up. Just need Susie to make me another fitted sheepskin seat cover set and all will be well.

Take care up there and ride safe,

Lee :)
