Had a ride out yesterday with 3 internet buddies. I met Lake and Ventura, via the BIIRA forum, and Teebee on the Rat.net site. Lake runs a bike hire business here in Cumbria and Teebee had flown over from Norway for a few days, so we all met up and had a ride around the Lake District.
We had every weather imaginable from sunshine, rain, hale, and gale force wind. Sometimes all at once!
But it was a great day out.
Here's a few pics along the way,
First stop was Ullswater,
We then rode over Kirkstone Pass and stopped at the Kirkstone Inn,
The view from the Kirkstone Inn towards Windermere
From here we rode down the 'Struggle' to Windermere for a quick stop.
We then made our way via Newby Bridge, Hawkshead and on to Coniston for lunch at the pub.
From here he headed over to Broughton and on to Birker Fell, a very windy spot!
Continuing on to Hardnott and Wrynose passes.
From here we worked our way back to the Kirksone Inn for refreshments before Lake and Teebee headed North and me and Ventura headed South.
A really enjoyable day out with good mates!
