I think that's a good idea - ride it for a season and then judge.
I think the suspension design is what it is and can only be made "only just so good or perfect" - but lighter weight oil will soften the ride a tiny bit.
This is probably about as good as it gets short of having a specialty suspension shop do a complete re-work or replacement of the forks.

Approximately what volume of fork oil is required (total) for a T100? Could I get away with a single quart? I saw on the America forum that each of those forks take about 19 oz, which would put the total at 1-3/16 qts, but I'm hoping that the Bonneville forks take less than that when fitted with the progressive springs from New Bonneville.

I'm planning on doing this upgrade soon and need to know how much fork oil to order.

We use the metric system, but I'm pretty sure the container I bought was less that a litre. I don't remember the size of the container and have long since tossed it out. I used almost all of it but for a very tiny bit.
The US quart is just slightly less than a litre so I think one of your quarts should do fine in the Bonneville.
The Progressive fork springs have a slightly larger diameter so the forks take a little less oil than factory.
The air gap is measured in distance with the fork leg collapsed, rather than volume of oil, so I have no idea how much in liquid measure is in the legs.
The instructions that came with the Progressive springs were very clear to me and I followed them to the letter.

I checked the stock of my local motorcycle parts store and it looks like they have 1L and 500mL bottles available. Based on the comments here I'll get a 1L, and then if for some reason I need a bit more I'll grab a 500mL next time I'm in the area.

Thanks for the insight!
