This stand system might be a good option if needed. It takes me a few minutes to setup and lifting is easy and safe.
OOH, duh. A Street triple. I "read" too quickly. That is a very fine bike but I prefer the standard/retro style. Also I don't like to see the frame on the sides of a bike (or whatever is going on there). Just my opinion. I've been away from biking for 35 years (until ~2020) so some of these changes are hard to accept. I like the upright position and I don't need to corner with the superbikes. Spirited yes, but no longer all-out or risking my a$$ at all.Instead of the centre stand you will have a track stand for those maintenance tasks that require the rear wheel off of the ground. By the way my machine is a Street Triple not Twin and yes, extremely happy but it will be a goodly while before I regard it with the same affection that my Ducati and my 1961 Thunderbird purchased in 1966 receive.
I like that and I like that bike. How is it riding with the forward pegs on the long drives? -BAThis stand system might be a good option if needed. It takes me a few minutes to setup and lifting is easy and safe.View attachment 52986View attachment 52988
It has an electronic tac.OOH, duh. A Street triple. I "read" too quickly. That is a very fine bike but I prefer the standard/retro style. I wonder if there is a tach kit for the Speed Twin 900. I'll ask tomorrow in the shop. That's a deal-breaker for me, no tach. I see the next post shows a jack of some sort. Thanks! -BA
Can’t honestly say, I haven’t done many long rides. I do find it comfortable. I ride mostly inner city.I like that and I like that bike. How is it riding with the forward pegs on the long drives? -BA
Now that makes sense. I guess I was talking to a new salesman when I brought that up, the missing tachometer can, he had no comment. Thanks. It has an electronic tac.
Your welcome for the insight. I've been looking for a long time. 2023 doesn't seem to be holding any secret cards. A tip for moving your legs around are moving your heals, one at a time or both but not in traffic nimble situations, to the passenger pegs. I'm still waiting for my dresser bars, actually crash bars, to see if they offer a resting spot for a foot. A higher spec padded seat might raise the sitting position an inch. Thanks, this is just what I need to know! And thanks to everybody who replied in this thread.
That 900 looks like just the ticket. I'll check on the scrambler version. If anything my legs feel too bunched up on some of the bikes, including my '72, and I have to get off and stretch after an hour or even less. Plus I do like to go off-road, but who takes a 900 street bike off-road? Maybe it's just a marketing ploy. Anyway, I'm going to Burbank Triumph for a look-see. Thanks again to all. -BA -I wonder when the 2013s come in and do these dealers sell past year models at a discount. I'll have to check this out.-
Paddock stand and bobbins are not a feature compatible on a Bonnie or Street Twin because of the mufflers. Perhaps the Scrambler?I like that and I like that bike. How is it riding with the forward pegs on the long drives? -BA

I love the tachometer also. I watch revs over speed. I might tend to want to push into the upper limits for fun and knowing potential! Can’t honestly say, I haven’t done many long rides. I do find it comfortable. I ride mostly inner city.
I look at the tach as well and listen to the engine. I don’t go faster than the traffic and generally there’s not much traffic when I’m out riding.I love the tachometer also. I watch revs over speed. I might tend to want to push into the upper limits for fun and knowing potential!
It has cast wheels, what looks like an oil cooler behind the frame tubes and has matte black engine covers.Sounds like a SE or Newchurch model. Air cooled? Spoked or cast wheels?
Check here>>> 2015 Triumph Motorcycles Prices and Model ListFound a 2015 with less than 1000 miles on it. Haven't contacted the seller yet because it is 01:28 in the AM. Tomorrow (later in the day) I will call. Very good price being asked I think. It has just the speedo in the picture (no visible Tach) so I am assuming that it is a T-100. Wish me luck! -BA
Edit: I see that for 2015 there was a base Bonneville which I assume became the "Street Twin" later. So this is the low spec Triumph. Hmm. Still a good bike? Different sources say "496" or "507" Lbs. How much should I offer? Silver color. -BA
I went to look at it. It is the standard Bonnie with a silver tank. Brand new bike with 835 miles on it. Bought it for his girl's first bike but she never got to like it. Asking $5500 USD.Check here>>> 2015 Triumph Motorcycles Prices and Model List
If seller has a picture it would be worth a thousand words. Also check here>>> 2015 Triumph motorcycles technical specifications Shows all the 2015 models. Some might be special edition. The newest version 2021-2022 has the highest performance specs and features if that's an issue. T100's and variations are 900cc; T120's are 1200cc.
Then search on. I wanted a tach model myself. Center stand I thought I wanted. The Thruxton doesn’t have one. I thought about installing one and even bought one. Then I looked at how it looks installed and decided to skip it for now. Keep looking. I thought many of the Bonnie standard models only come with a speedometer. No Tach on this model. Not sure I could live without that or a center stand.
