I'm behind on the housework and the dog runs around kicking up the dust. The dog is only here for the meals.

I need to break out the red devil blower and open the windows.

I'm a signwriter of 34 years, I've painted a lot of bike logo's onto seats. Your local signwriter should be able to computer cut a stencil out of self adhesive vinyl.
It won't work very well with an embossed seat, but it does on the smooth seats. first clean the seat with solvent. Apply the stencil carefully & remove the application tape.
With a heat gun or hair dryer gently heat the stencil and with a rag carefully rub it so it moulds into the grain of the seat. Mask of the rest of the seat.
I use a spray gun, but you can buy aerosol cans of vinyl paint from your auto supply store. Spray very light coats, letting it dry between coats, building it up slowly.
It looks more authentic if you don't get full coverage. About 3 or 4 light coats should do it. When its just dry, carefully remove the mask. Should be perfect.

I never did get around to painting the impressed name on the seat.
I was gung ho to do it, but other things got in the way and it went on the back burner.
Maybe one of these days :y2:

BGRIN TUP TUP
My front veranda has been neglected for too long and for the past few weeks I've been working at it scraping and painting.
This is an old house with a lot of detail, spindles, ornate trim, etc., so it has been slow going.
The weather has been warn and humid (at least for us) so I usually only work at in the cool of the morning and am not killing myself to get it done.

On my last Triumph I took the seat around to an old school signwriter and he made a magnificent job of it even down to the black lines within the Triumph logo.
Don't know what paint he used but when I sold the bike five years later the seat logo still looked brand new. So if you can locate an old schooler that's the man you want to do your triumph logo. I also got him to hand paint some pinstriping on my petrol tank. Same result a brilliant job!

If any of you guys can direct me to a supplier who sells this stencil kit I would be interested as well because my seat does not have TRIUMPH on the back of the seat.
