For anyone in the states considering purchase of anything from Tamarit, take note.

I ordered a bellypan from Tamarit while back and it arrived with the screen held on by what looked like used bubble gum. It wasn't long after that it fell apart and I put it back together with a real adhesive. I let that go which was my first mistake.

My second mistake was ordering from them again. This time a very pricy seat. They knew what year my Thruxton was, but sent the wrong color anyway. Then told me they would have provided the right color (that they don't offer) upon request. On top of that, it didn't fit without bending metal. For the price they charge, that seat should be perfect. I bent the metal bracket (as advised by Tamarit) to make it fit and they offered to repaint the plastics. I tried to get a local shop to do it, but paint matching was going to be an issue.

Here's where it really gets aggravating. I choose to return the seat for a refund. Try sending anything to Spain and note the cost. It's outrageous. Anyway, I'm told by Tamarit that it's not a problem and I would get my refund.
The seat gets stuck in customs, roughly 3 hours from them for a few weeks. I did an investigation and was informed that customs was waiting on Tamarit for information before they would release it. I notified Tamarit immediately and their efforts were to send an email to customs. That's it.....the end of their effort. They can't use a phone? They then decide to ignore my emails and the seat (that I have no use for) is returning to me.

My hard earned money being pissed away in this manor is unacceptable. They don't care. I get it. They've made that very clear. THEY got paid, and that's all they care about.

I gave them every opportunity to make it right. No integrity.

I hope you benefit from this story.

By the way, if you're in the market for a new Tamarit Monaco seat in Matt Black, Let me know. I'll give you a great price on it.

I got the same seat, I also had to modify it to fit. I really like the look and once I had got it to fit have been really pleased with it

That's fine if it worked out for you. If it didn't (wrong color for instance), you would be experiencing aggravation and expense.

They sit in silence as my seat travels the world again!

F Tamarit. They've shown their true colors.

I have an update. Tamarit reached out to me. They've apologized for the lack of communication and stepped up to make things right. They've achieved redemption as far as I'm concerned. The postal service in Spain is horrible. I think things would have went much smoother if not for that.

As you can see by my avatar that I have a Tamarit on my Thruxton R, my luck was the guy I bought it from put that seat on. Now the Renstall 1/4 fairing was a bit of a go when I ordered it, but it shipped from Germany and they were pretty good with communication as to why there were delays. (Who knew Germans take vacations?)

Looks great!
I no longer have the Thruxton. It was a great bike, but too nice to be putting a million miles on it. I've opted for a ST 1200 RR.
Here's what it looked like right before I let it go.

According to my son-in-law it's pretty obnoxious when following me. He likes to lead when I'm on the RS, any of my other bikes it's a toss up. And that's with the baffle IN.
I chose the Pro Race Slash cut. I like the look and wanted it sounding more like a motorcycle and less like a vacuum cleaner.
Volume is just about perfect. Didn't add any performance advantage except a little less weight.

That's a beautiful bike, I have ridden one and loved, am considering chopping in my 2008 Speed Triple for one
The RS bars are higher than the RR's so a better seating position for this old geezer. The power and weight are much better than the earlier versions. My son-in-law rides a 2010 Anniversary Edition Speed Triple with the 1050 motor and "Tune of Death" installed and can't keep up with my 1200. It's a very fun scoot.

I have a thread called "Bling and Farkle" here in the Speed Triple Forum that details the accents I've added to it.
