My bikes all have centerstands and I WON a raffle at a Bike Nite years ago for a hydraulic bike lift. The weird thing was that I was riding my bike to Bike Nite and had to ride home and get my truck to haul the bike lift home with!

Another weird thing.....both centerstands on my '96 Trophy and '69 Tiger lift the rear wheel off the ground when in use, but the centerstand on my '78 T140 lifts the FRONT wheel of the ground?

Now that's interesting.
 
The T140's centerstand actually doesn't lift either tire completely off the ground....but the front tire can be spun by hand very easily while there is definitely more weight on the rear.

I've never really compared them directly, but my suspicion is that the OIF models had slightly different location points than the older models.
