Update.

I was making reasonable progress. I got the concrete out and taken away in a skip (all 4 tones of it).

I had Sharron helping with the digging.

I decided to underpin 1.200 mtr lengths at a time. Between the arrows is the original footing undercut by 0.250 mtr and ready to form up. That's the second section, the first is behind the black plastic on the left.

Each section is too small to get a truck delivering (the smallest load is 0.4 cubic mtr) so it all hand mixing.

Then the rain set in SAD. Not causing a serious problem but it's just too wet under foot to work when you don't have to.
I've got 3 X 1.200 mtr lengths poured and grouted in with 2 more to do on that side of the room.

So on a wet Saturday afternoon it's back to drinking beer and mucking about on the computer CRY.

Edit,
If you quickly go back to the first photo in post 1 you get the idea of what a mess it is now, but it will be better in the end, that is if my old body holds up.

Good going Kev
Did ya need a permit ?

What language are you using?
OK I ran "permit" through my dictionary and it didn't come up.:y15:

I can say, it will be much stronger when finished than before I started.
I have a mechanical engineering background therefore tend to overbuild things.
Years ago I built a fence and gate for ducks, as time passed and the animals became more numerous the same fence and gate was still standing square and holding back our goats and 16 hand horse. Sharron called it the elephant gate.

Well, 3 cubic mtr of waterproof concrete and a pump arrived today, I supervised the set up. :y15:

They pumped it in, lucky for them I was able to show them how to do it properly. :y2:

Some accurate pointing from me kept the job running to plan. :y13:

In the end they begged my to get my boots dirty and finish the job to perfection. :y6:

At last the structual part is finished, now it's new windows, internal walls, relocate the lower bathroom, fit a second kitchen, piece of cake from now on. BLUSH

lol I see that you worked hard at this job :y2:

That square mouth shovel loaded up with wet concrete aint so easy to chuck about.
The bloke in the orange shirt is a rider from a local forum and owns that concrete truck, he got the pump and concrete at a good price, then stayed on for 4 hours and finished the surface for me. Good people on some of these forums.
