:y25: I know it's bad zen/karma/whatever to become attached to material things, and I really never thought it would happen to me,but I really miss my Bonneville.
Not that there's anything wrong with the Speedmaster you understand,it's just not the same. So much so that I may have to get another one,can it be fate that TTC just happen to have a black/red one on the floor that would match the Speedy?

Doug, I completely understand. I felt that way about my '66 TR6 and still regret selling it. But I have made up for it with my '68! Go for it and get the Bonnie.

Ive regretted selling the majority of my bikes in the past . But I can only have one so just rely on the memorys

I think that zen/karma is a bunch of BS. I hear the voices saying, "Buy the bike, Doug, buy the bike."

The voices never lie. You will not regret it. I love going out to the garage and looking at the "sisters." Gotta have one to work on and one to ride.

I was going to mention the voices, but there are enough people in this world that think I'm nuts as it is! Do you agree? Why yes I do! :y30:

I sold my 98 TBS to buy a new 06 HD Superglide and I still miss the TBS, even if I couldn't ride it to much...been thinking of selling the Superglide and going for a bonnie Black.

for anybody interested, I rolled over 165,000 miles on my 99 HD FLHT yesterday on a PGR run, in the rain  What a bike, and no it has not been apart for anything major, just routine maintenance..its a keeper, but the FXD might have to go..

yep, been doing it for a couple of years, I stopped last year when we did one for a young lady from here that we all knew, it really tore me up and do to the emotional after math I sort of took some time off. I guess it was a combination of old age and being a softy at heart. to me the death of our service men and women are hard to take sometimes..

Bear, that is very common among us. Our former State Captain had to step way for a while and Mae Lyne and to step away from honor missions for about six months. We have had several ride captains stand down for a while. If you are human, it will flat get to you. Most of us tear up at every honor missions - especially during Taps.

Some of the missions are really hard on me. Recently, we did a mission for a close personal friend and Ride Captain who succumbed to a heart attack. I flat broke down and he was moved to the hearse. He and I had ridden a lot miles together and shared many a meal.

In January, we did a mission for the son-in-law of a family friend and comrade-in-arms. My kids grew up with their kids. They were at my sons funeral. That was a hard one.
