Well the engine guards are installed. Patrick and his employees at Motorcycles Unlimited did a great job. When I went in to pick the bike up Patrick commented on the install being a doosie. They pulled the guards out of the box I had them in and said, "This will be easy, then we saw the 7 pages of instructions! They look good on the bike." It took experienced motorcycle mechanics almost two hours to do the install after telling me they could do it in an hour. Instead of charging me the whole two hours they cut me a break and charged 1.5 hour. I figure I still came out ahead, the bike is back on the road instead of tore up in my garage.

The photo proof. . .

I was looking for some highway pegs while I was at Motorcycles Unlimited but all he had in stock was chrome ones. I was going to stop at another shop on the way home but I was racing the rain to the house, Kyle had my rain gear in his truck and he went home a different direction.

I ordered mine as well as the brackets. The pegs I have are adjustable which allows me to compensate for having to mount them at an angle. I hacan adjust them do that they are horizontal.

I received a text message Friday night, "KSU @ 0800@Teas Road Exxon, be there" so what else could I do? Work on my tool holder or go for a ride? That's an easy one, the tool holder can wait.

Only three of us showed up at the Exxon but Debbie had an idea where we were headed and met us there for an early lunch.

The only photo from the day, and if Debbie hadn't showed up there wouldn't have even been this one.
