Well it won't be long now before we make the move up North, so in the meantime I've been to a farm show with the wife, at this show it had a few motorbikes and some cars, Haven't got much of an idea of what all the cars are, but I'm sure some of you out there will know them

Ford Anglia 105e early 60s (a long way from stock) ( I had one of these as a panel van running a 1500 with twin down draught dellortos and a ridiculous cam. Could never get it not to run rich till I threw away the top end and popped on a 1340 head with 1600 valves and a carb set up of a 1600 capri.)

Thames Trader tow truck '64.

Great pics. That is nothing like the the farm shows here! I would like to have been there. Thanks for including pics of the tractors. I like old tractors.

@ Harry. Great job of identification. I did not know Bradford pickup or the Thames Trader tow truck. The Ford Model A is a 1928 or 1929. The 28-28's has the cowl off set from the body. On the 30-31's the cowl tapered smoothly to the body. The radiator shells are so different on the 28 - 29's. The Model A's were produced from 1928 through 1931. I have owned a 1929 and a 1931.

Well, all I can say is your guesses were pretty darn good! I'm impressed.

You can differentiate between 30 and 31's by the radiator shell. The insert at the top of the shell on the 31's is painted the same as the body color. On the 30's it is polished metal.

Hey that's neat, my sister and family lived in Ardingly for a year or so back in 1990 - school teacher exchange. My wife and I visited her and loved it there, it was of course spring/summer so the weather was great. I'd love to get back there one day.

My word isn't it a small world, you should have visited this year if you could have, the traditional English summer of warm rain day in day out, was replaced with, wait for it Sun :y26: = Total shock look. Yes who on earth would have thought that England and the UK in general could have had such a thing, but it happened, oh well only another 50 years to go before the next one comes along
