Yes, that is pretty cool for you down there.
6C is our daytime temp now - and slowly getting cooler.

It wouldn't have been so bad but the day before the low was 23C and today the 22 MPH winds were straight out of the Arctic and there was only one barbed wire fence between here and Canada to block the wind and it was missing a strand.

This morning the temp was 16C but I've still got a chill from yesterday.

It's really hot here in Johannesburg and I'm struggling with the heat for the first time in life! Can't believe I'd ever be saying this, but I wish we had cooler weather - 28 - 33c and lows of 12-15c is just not working for me at the moment.

Well, of course, winter is slowly descending upon us. Days are only in the 5-6C range (41-43F) with cold frosty nights.
But it will be a while before the really cold weather gets here. It is what it is.
Come January/February it will be down in the -16 & -17C range (near 0 F), but it doesn't get severely cold as it did 50-60 years ago and stay that way for weeks and weeks.
We get a lot of yo-yo temps now with severe cold for a couple of days and then up to only the freezing mark for a day or so - then down again.
I'm here on the Atlantic coast and the ocean affects the weather. In the central area of Canada it stays more constant.
But come summer we appreciate the cooling ocean breezes.

Here's a lot of four letter words then....big fat snowflakes taken 10 minutes ago. I used the dark background of that building so you could see it
