Another Nor'easter

It really hasn't stopped here. Heavy snowfalls back to back and high winds mean blizzard conditions. I have used my snow blower more in the past two weeks than I did since the snow started in the fall. My old blower was giving me grief and throwing drive belts off several times the last two snow falls so I got peeved off and bought a new Honda 9 hp tracked snow blower with electric start and chute controls. WHAT A MACHINE! Makes my 9 year old Ariens 11.5 hp blower look like a POS.

Well, not a Nor'easter, but we're supposed to see another 30-40 cms of snow up here in this region over the next 4 days. Winter can take a hike any time now. I wanna ride my Thunderbird :y47:, NOT have to buy a new snow blower AND have to use it every second day.
As a wise man once said he was going to strap his snow blower to the roof of his car and drive South. When someone asks him "What's that on the roof of your car?" is where he was going to grow new roots. I think he may be onto something.

What's a snow blower? :D On the other hand, I have to mow the lawn tomorrow.

I can take a pic if you'd like. Even have some action shots. Nah, on second thought, nobody on here wants to see snow or a snow blower, me included.

Hey Carl, I found a video that said it was of a snow blower but I couldn't see anything for the white cloud coming from it. I think it was burning it's clutch to have that much white smoke coming from it. :y2:

My assistant, a master sergeant, retired from the Army and said he was heading south and taking a snow shovel with him. He said, "Every time I fill up my tank and gonna hold this shovel while I'm filling up. When someone asks me 'What is the hell is that?', I gonna drive another hundred miles south and buy a house." He settled in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

WE ESCAPED!!!!!!!!!! Now we are almost in "Carl" country; planning to do some riding with my son-in-law this weekend and then to St. Augustine. When we left, the temp. was 1 degree F............now it's a "balmy" 53 F!!!!!! Time to gloat...................... Jim

When i was in collage i got a job during the summer at Jacobson lawn mower plant in my home town, we made snow blowers during the summer, used sawdust from the sawmill to test them. That's all the experience i want with a snow blower.

BGRIN good decision TUP

Yeah, I just hear that we're going to get more of this $%&@& - but probably not as much as you.
Snow, rain and freezing again. It's going to be a mess and very hard on man and machines.

I know what you mean, Rocky. I lived in Dartmouth for 4 years(93-97), and every time it snowed you had to be quick to shovel it before the rain hit and it weighed a ton or wait til the freezing rain stopped and then shovel it so it didn't freeze the driveway. Damned if you do, damned if you don't........................... At least here we get more snow. (Did I just say that?). Easier to move after it stops.

On a brighter note, we're supposed to only get about 20-25 cms of the white crap now .

Man, I hate to revive this thread...........................another Nor'easter hitting the Maritimes on Sunday. Our region calling for 50+cms or the white poison. Yuck!!! Be safe all my fellow Maritime and New England mates. Batten down the hatches and get ready. she's gonna be a good one.

FACE yes, here it come again :y40:
It will be another one of those snow turning to rain,, turning to freezing again, storms.
The temps have stayed very cold so there has been no melting of the snow and it's reaching the point of where to put it during the clearing process.
With small mountains of snow everywhere makes for very slow driving because you can't see at intersections and the streets are very narrow.
Fortunately, I'm retired and don't have to go anywhere, but I still have to deal with the snow.

Yep, retired is nice for this type of weather....................and spending a couple of months in Florida is truly the "icing" on the cake (pun intended)!!! Seriously, I do hope that this miserable weather breaks for everyone.................enough is enough!! Jim
