I took this picture early this morning and it's still coming down albeit lighter now, but still expected to continue into the afternoon.
The deck was completely bare yesterday and the property fences were just starting to emerge from under the snow.
Easily 15+ cm's (6+ inches) before it's done FACE

Ours is all done here and the sun is out, melting it. Only got about 3 cms. Didn't know you guys were supposed to get that much. My In laws come to Halifax 3 times a week from the valley so my Father-in-law can get dialysis done. It has been a very hard winter for them.
Stay strong, Rocky. Can't last much longer before the good warm weather is here for good.

Yes, DaveM, it always looks pretty at first, but after this winter, I and many like me want to see a different "pretty", like green grass and leaves on trees, pollen included.

Well, we got lucky to some degree.
The temp went up to 4C (39F) and most of the fresh snow melted, but there are still lots of hard packed snow and ice mounds that will be there for weeks yet.
I have one pile of snow alongside my driveway that's easily 3 meters high.

Well, Rocky, the temps in my area are finally staying in the, roughly, 50's F; with luck, when I get back home from Florida next week, things will be looking decent. Like you, I have a pile of plowed snow at the bottom of my driveway and it'll probably take a couple of weeks, or even more, for it to melt. I'll have to store some of my bike gear in the garage until I can get into my back yard and to the room under the back porch to put into "storage" for next year. Carl left this morning for Pennsylvania for a few days and then he and Mabel will be going to Toronto for a few weeks; hope you can get rid of any snow up there for him......HA, HA!!! We were able to meet for breakfast, at least, then they were off. Jim

Well we've had a few warm days lately 14c to 17c but spring is slow this year , even some of the trees are not in bud yet !
This time last year there were trees coming in to leaf but no sign of that yet , rocky its a very strange winter this year but I think also that we've had it very good last few years and this year is just a return to the norm .
