This thread might be useful, i just woke up and feel like crap, seams like i feel like crap when i get up every day. This day however is very crappy because my cat has moved a toy where i stepped on it without my house shoes on. Bad cat. And the weather is crappy too, to cold, its going to be a crappy day.

Winter sucks!!! :ice: Humans aren't designed to live in these conditions. :furious:

It was 10 degrees colder in Houston yesterday than it was in Anchorage, Alaska.

ROTFL yeah, that's a good example of a winter blizzard alright FACE
You want to see winter - I'll show you winter BGRIN

But I've been watching the weather over the continent lately and it's quite shocking to see the Artic air drop down so far south.
As a matter of fact, at times, it was warmer (well above freezing) here in the northeast than it was down south.

It snowed on Monday and I had to shovel a bit and it's snowing again today - turning to rain tonight.
It's neither fish nor fowl; freeze, thaw; freeze thaw FACE

hemibee, this temp is killing me too, last night the temp went down to 10 degrees F, and the snow is almost 1/2 inch deep and i don't have a snow plow. Last but not lease Rocky's post states he is a positive person, nothing brothers him much and he doesn't have anything to complain about, then says in the last post that he has done some shoveling. I don't know about Rocky sometimes i think he rubes it in to much, he probably doesn't even have a motorcycle and rides a bicycle.BGRIN

ROTFL up here in the Great White North, snow is just part of winter life so it's no big deal to have to shovel once in a while.
Gee, I hope I can find my bicycle buried in the snow FACE

I knew y'all were getting some of this but hadn't heard how much of it. Just up the road a few miles (30 to 45) they were reporting 4 to 6 degrees overnight. Glad I'm a little further south. We had one pipe freeze last night, the main line into the house. With my current condition I had Kim call a plumber. They had it replaced in no time and we are back up and running.

You have to watch that cyclist from Nova Scotia. How could any sane person put up with that much snow that you have to shovel it. :y2:

We had almost twice as much snow as you, but that temp was a asskicker, i couldn't imagine 4 or 6 degrees. Last night the faucet in my shop froze while dripping, tonight we will have a warming trend up to 15 F, don't think i could live up north but then again we have some lovely events down here they don't have, like hurricanes and rattlesnakes and run on sentences and ranting ect. Dam i am glad wee have this thread and spellind check, i got to go get another beer ,bye.BBEER

I take back what I said about not getting upset. We had quite a bit of snow overnight which turned to rain and is very mild this morning at -1C (30F) FACE
The city plow filled in my driveway with a small wall of wet snow that can only be removed by hand.
Too heavy for a blower to handle without breaking something or burning out the clutch.
Oh well, it's not as if I haven't done this before in the last 50 years :y40:
Still haven't found that darn bicycle yet BGRIN

yes its been quite bad across the central belt but we've escaped most of the snow its just bitterly cold -7c but the wind chill makes it more like - 12c , the wind chill has been very bad this year freezing all the gutters and and any drop of moisture . :y35:

Last night the local news report stated there had been an error in the report yesterday morning. The weather stations reporting 4 to 6 degrees were in error, they some how reported the wind chill as the actual temp. The temps were corrected to 16 degrees with a wind chill of 4 to 6 degrees.

Finally the temp this morning is climbing its already 42F bye bye snow, its supposed to be 70F Saturday, one day closer to spring then summer and i will be ranting about the heat, i am glad we have this thread!
BGRIN yeah, we're never satisfied. Too hot or too cold.
Well below freezing the past couple of days, but rain on Saturday.
More yo-yo winter weather FACE
