I will go first. I first learned to drive this.

And then I learned to drive this. My dad owned a dry cleaning plant and he had two panel trucks for delivery. I learned to drive the 1958 Chevy. These are not photos of his; his was all white.

I took my driving test in this on July 1st 1969, the day I turned 16. It was my mom's car. Her's was all white.

My everyday ride was a Fiat 600 Multipla. No power; but loads of fun. Mine was the color of the first pic. I used it to deliver dry cleaning to special delivery customers.

Carl, SIR....this is an AWESOME IDEA! and a great post.
I have never even SEEn a Fiat 600 Multipla!!!!

Well mine is not so glamorous I learned to RIDE on one of these 49 cc's of damn near indestructable fury!

I learned to drive and drove for 3 years (and multiple speeding tickets) this beast, 1977 Chevy Monte Carlo with (thank you Grandpa Paul) custom ordered 454 chevy BIG block V-8 with dual 4 barrell carbs and a positraction rear end and anti sway bars.........in this same color but with Cragar rims and white letter tires......

This is a cool idea for a thread TUP TUP
The absolute first machine that I drove and was in control of was a bicycle.
Next came a farm tractor exactly like the one you posted Carl. That pic sure brought back a lot of memories.
When I turned sixteen my father taught me to drive the family car. He would take me out in the country away from traffic - which wasn't all that much around here in 1953/1954.
I didn't get a driver's licence because he wouldn't let me drive our car alone.
When I turned 18, I scrapped enough money together to buy a second-hand BSA Golden Flash and got my "motorcycle only" driver's licence. I rode that for three years and sold it to buy a beat up 1950 Ford and got my full driver's licence.
I went through a series of old cars, but don't have pics of any of them.

My first ever was a Yamaha 50cc, then at 18 I got my big bile licence and had various bike. I did also get my car licence at 18 but for the most part that was because I had to have it for work. I never owned a car until well into my 20's

Carl, the '50 Ford was a two-door coupe just like the black one in the pic.
Take away the front bumper accessory and the windshield visor (and think deep blue) and that's the exact car I had.
It had a flathead V8 and stick shift. I put fender skirts on it and a dual exhaust system and thought I was king of the road :y2:.
It kills me now to think that I don't have a picture of it anywhere SIGH

I hot wired my Father's 1948 Holden when I was a kid (was about 13 years of age at the time) & drove it to my mates place.
It was night time & I didn't have the lights on.
The first car I owned was a 1945 Singer 9 I paid $50 for.
It was lacking a soft top but had the frame & the side curtains so I used an old blue shower curtain with red roosters on it.

I would like to have seen that shower curtain top! BGRIN
