What I Did With My Bike Today

FWIW...Fabbed and Welded top forward Engine Stabilizer. Fabbed and installed Tachometer Mount between Fuel Cells. Mounting Antigravity 401 Battery Box. Prepping Cloth covered wiring to build a racing harness. Took my '70 T120R out for good hard run at 40 degrees F. and put her away wet! Ain't leaked a drop this year..

Send more pix Sparky , just love those race bikes , so easy to work on without all that extra stuff in the way . Not sure if you’ve seen Rocket’s 836 AA / F drag bike circa early 70’s . 180 mph .

Today I started checking over my dirt squirter to get ready for the Moab ride in April. Changed all the brake and clutch fluid as it was a bit burnt from last year and also changed the trans fluid to check for unusual filings. Also took time to make sure the drive chain and sprockets are good for another go and tuned the spokes so all torqued the same. A few spokes had loosened up but the wheels are still true so my spills didn't do any damage. I ordered a new battery as the old one wouldn't take a charge and this bike doesn't have a kick starter. All that and only a couple brews down.

Howdy folks. I am not real active on posting progress of Land Speed '68 T120R. From a semi-final mock up I today disassembled bike to a stage where I can triple check the overall stance re: rake, stretch, square and balance. In a few days I am planning on completing all stick welding (???) of rear set brackets, modified top engine mounts oil tank support, etc., etc. Paint, final assembly, wiring and a couple break in laps...
Oh, and I did a cruise around our beautiful Washington County, Utah

I envy everybody on the Forum enjoying sunshine and planning their next ride. Here in central Vermont, it snowed today, again. My lawn is covered by snow up to my knees and the plow piles are tall enough to ski down. That said, I'm still trying to repair my BSA Lightning to be ready to ride when the weather and sanded roads improve. So today, I gathered together all the tools in the garage needed to remove the clutch and alternator, and brought them inside to warm up. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll be sitting on a stool under an infrared light making some progress.

April is the first planned ride. Hope to get a couple in before that for warm up.
