Hello all; You are not going to believe this!! As I have stated in another thread I am thinking of buying that 1979 Triumph 750 Bonneville "Special" for a goodly amount (Kelly's Blue Book Retail value: $4,720.00). It is a double collectors' item. Not only a "Classic" Triumph, but they only made the "Special" that one year, mag alloy wheels, step seat, special brakes and housing, etc, etc. OK, I met someone earlier today who said he had a 1978 Triumph 750 Tiger in excellent shape with only 1400 original miles up until recently (the very model I have been searching for FOR YEARS!) and he sold it a couple of months ago. He said he sold it for $1800.00 bucks!!!!!! $1800.00 bucks!!! Damn, it is worth $4500.00 if in good shape! Why in the hell can I not come across a deal like that?!? WHY?!? Dammit man!! I wanted to track it down and try to buy it from his friend. But he said his friend had cut it down and modified it into a "Café Racer" and sold it! Not only did that friend ruin a fine classic bike (@#^%&*), but I missed out on it. DAMMIT MAN!!! Boo Hoo!

Hey Bonnie79D,
Thanks for that info. I was misinformed and glad to know it. Hey Keyster, one of these days man. I have a sister in Pensacola and a bro in Ft. Walton. But we had to take apart and clean the carbs real good thanks to sitting up for several years and that ethanol! I am going to give the guy a downb payment at the end of this month (I am retired and get paid once a month). He said he was keeping it until I paid him off, scared I will go wreck or something and he would be out of his bike. My credit is shot and I can not get it financed so he is going to let me make payments. Where did you say you lived in Fla?
