Rain, rain, and more rain - plus wind gusts.

Rain and heavy fog today.
Yesterday was a beautiful day so I spent most of it at the lake doing chores; mowing grass; chopping wood and kindling, and doing minor repairs to the floating docks.
I don't have a lawn as such down there, but the open areas have grassed over naturally and need to be kept in check every couple of weeks or so. It was the first cut this year so it was badly in need of cutting.
It was great getting out in the fresh air and getting a bit of exercise. I took my wife out to supper on the way home so it made a day out for her too.
The weekend was wet too so I toyed with going for a ride yesterday or doing what needs to be done SAD CRY

well its been poor now for 2 summers in a row and its a job to tell when winter ends and summer begins, the only 2 seasons you can tell is autum ( leafs fall ) and spring (leafs back ) its just one big season now !.....depressing stuff SAD

Debbie has finally crossed the state and move off shore into the Atlantic. It will clear up this afternoon - and I can ride. At my ranch property, we got 26 inches/66 centimeters of rain. The rivers and creeks in Suwanee County are flooding. Most of the roads in the county are closed. My property is high and dry; no flooding there.

Having a mild winter here. Can get up to 17c or so and down to 9c at night. Much colder up in the higher country where it's snowing at present. I ride the Trophy every day whatever the weather. Got a bit wet tonight coming home from work but it soon rained out. Been suffering with cold hands lately so I purchased a pair of hand guards off a new Tiger ABS. They went straight onto the Trophy with only a tiny modification to where they bolt to the end bars. They work brilliantly keeping the cold wind and rain off the hands. New gloves tomorrow so the cold shouldn't be a problem any more. Susie makes double thickness fleece neck warmers that have an apron front and rear to keep the cold totally away. They work brilliantly. You can see one on our website. I've been selling them to the cops at work for when they work n/shifts in the open. (Susie had to make navy blue ones for them as opposed to the black ones).

The winters down here are no way as bad as I remember in the UK so I ain't complaining.

Ride safe guys,

Lee :)
