47 F/ 8.3 C here today at 3:00 PM. Going down to 29 F/ -1.7 C tonight in Warren, Arkansas. Monday it will be colder than a sorcerees' mammary in a brass supporting undergarment. Can't wait to get back to Florida. :y35::y35:

Even up here we catch your weather on TV with interest. That's a serious and cold storm that's crossing the US right now.

Same as Rocky here today but a few inches of snow coming Sunday night to replace the stuff we got rid of a couple of weeks ago . North west winds off the Gulf of St Lawrence all next week accompanied by the traditional flurries. As usual two months of winter at the doorstep .

That's darn cold!
My wife and I were out shopping today and were talking to the cashier about the cold spell. She said she didn’t care for cold weather in general and was apprehensive about how cold it would get. I consoled saying the temperature has been upgraded and we’ll likely only see a few hours near freezing. She asked what I thought about the cold weather, I said it’s okay as long as we don’t get multiple days below freezing like we did a few years ago. I didn’t mention the only reason that would bother me is due to how poorly our buildings are built or how weak the infrastructure is. At home my wife and I contemplated getting little errands done so we wouldn’t have to go out during the days it’ll be colder and likely raining. My wife commented about the cat food being low and I responded, well if we need to go out I doubt two old Finns will be phased by what passes for cold in Houston. We just generally don’t like going out in bad weather considering how our fellow Houstonians are not prepared for slippery wet roads. Stay safe and warm y’all!

-10c with a wind chill of -19c. Suppose to get back up to -6c then stay in the minus single digits for the rest or the week. Fredericton winters have gotten a lot warmer in the 30 years I've lived here.

Same thing here on the NS coast. Winters are much milder now with usually more rain than snow. The temps also yoyo a lot so we don't get any steady periods of cold winter weather from January into February like we used to.
The uncertainty is a PITA and driving hard at times.

Generally drivers in Texas don't deal well with cold weather conditions like snow, sleet, and rain. As a rule I stay off the roads around DFW when it's raining because the idiots around here don't know or care about loss of traction in the wet. That said they treat snow like it's worse than ice. They'll drive 75 on ice but won't go past 25 in snow. It's safer to stay inside and watch reruns......and order from Amazon delivery.

Up here we grew up driving through a few feet of snow with RWDrive only . It’s all about whatever your used to . When I studded my first bike I couldn’t believe the traction on ice . I get a kick out of people’s antics driving in conditions they aren’t prepared for but it’s not very funny . They just gotta get those lotto tickets .
