We were heading home one Sunday and encountered them- we always seem to when g is with us. He was on his Speedy and did an ovetaking manoevre. I hung back and about half a kay later got past all of them, with Erik (R6) in tow. No avion. I thought "Wow, he's gapped it a bit." I.e. he's gone off like a scalded cat. We got to our oak trees where we stop and there was no avion. He pulled up a minute later, steam coming out of his Shoei. He only made it past half the group and had to dive in to them because of oncoming traffic. There they were in their 2x2 formation with g trapped in the middle of the rolling thunder, totally consumed, with no means of escape :y9:. He eventually swerved his way out of there.

Erik and I were clutching our stomach muscles for minutes after.

Gareth, it's alright. I can spot a wannabe when I see one. If you want a cruiser, some throbbing Milwaukee Iron, it's OK. I can quite picture you on a Hardly Movingson!

He's a closet H.O.G. wannabe.

And it doesn't get much sadder than that. :y43:

A couple of years ago, soon after I'd met young Erik, the 3 of us were having breakfast and we heard the sound of thunder in the distance. H.O.G. throbbed past- about 70 of them. When the noise died down, g said "Nineteen" and I said "Eight". Erik asked "What on earth are you guys talking about?". G said "Nineteen p1ss pots" & I said "Eight had spikes on top". Poor Erik couldn't tackle his brekkie for about 5 minutes. ROTFL

At our bike nights we have a mix of bike, when we have bikes there, we are just a bunch of locals that met because of the bikes but don't always ride to bike night.

On PGR Missions it runs 30 to 60% Harley's, 20 to 40% Goldwings, and then a real mix of mostly various Jap cruisers with a jap sportbike or Spyder thrown in for good measure. But the bike that gets the most attention is a dirty black Tiger. The new is about wore off from having a battle scarred Tiger in the line up but I still have 1 to 6 riders coming over to ask questions about Triumphs and where I usually ride.

Posting with Tapatalk while riding my Tiger 955i at 15 over the speed limit.

At PGR missions there are usually my Tiger or Bonneville, a Speedmaster, and sometimes a Sprint in a sea of HD's and metric cruisers. There are a couple of BW's and three or four Goldwings.

The closest one to me is around 800 kilometer = 497 mile , just a short ride for a person like Carl :y2:

Actually Dave, a lot of us ride like that.

Saturday I rode south a bit for Barbeque.

Average moving speed: 72.4mph for 515.4 miles

NOW! Back to the subject of Tats. AJ. I love your tat design!!! (personally have no tats....)

No......as the title said, I'm still thinking about it. I want to be sure of the design and if I really want something for life.

Certainly something to be certain about. I have three, honestly only 1 I regret which involves my ex wifes name. (its a rose on my shoulder before any of you get all "minds in the gutter" and such) Shannon too has one with her Ex husbands name. We have agreed to make a day to go get them covered with something more for our new life together.........but we can't really decide what ......so I kinda know what you mean Seeker. Keep us posted.......

here in Aus tatoos are as common as bums (that's ass or fanny for you Americans, fanny also has a completely different connotation here too) everyone has one. Well most people of a certain age have them, I am from a time when only sailors and bikies had them and personally I don't see the point in them, particularly when you see some that have not aged too well or others that spoil a beutiful young things otherwise lovely skin.
If you must do it - use the classic logo its is much more stylish.
What do the spanners represent ? that you have to work on your Triumph - surely not?
So if I was designing for a Harley tatoo it would have a lump hammer and a brick ?

I do not object to tattoos; but I don't want one for me.

Mine was done in Okinawa where they've been doing them for a thousand years, so it was done correctly. That's why it is still so crisp and defined.

Surely you jest though about not needing a spanner as a Triumph owner. At least a Meriden Triumph! :)
