Hard to compete with NZ, except our land doesn't shake about while taking photos or vids of it. (Gotcha on that one) :y15:

The earthquake gods must of heard you Kev
Got woken this morning by a rolling 5.8, would have run a good 10 or 15 seconds.
Was very deep tho, so even though it was felt over a large area, there were no big jolts that I know of.

Glad for you that it was deep and all's OK.
I think that if I lived in NZ I'd like a paper house in the middle of a field.

A new day, new challenges to overcome.
I went out early with the new GoPro 3 Black mounted on the H/Bars. Took about 40 or 50 minutes of vid. Back home and my first attempt using Windows Live Movie Maker (WLMM) went great. Each tool that I tried got easier and easier to use, I was loving it so much that I ended up with a 15 min vid with captions to keep viewers informed as to where and what. I was impressed with the tool and my effort all 2 hours of it! Long story short couldn't save it and lost the lot.SAD
Still had the raw vid on camera so in desperation just grabbed 2 min of vid and put it into WLMM did a 30 second edit and it worked a treat, high quality, great, almost as good as the raw vid. Then put it into YouTube and ended with a rubbish quality product, did it again and the same. ANGER
Took the same 2 min vid and put it into Vimeo, this is the result. Not as good as the vid that I entered but watchable.
Please note this short vid isn't trying to be a product to show a ride but only a quick test after YouTube frustration.

EDIT,

Harry sorted The YouTube mystery out, we have to pause the YouTube link when it starts, then go to the little wheel like button lower right, click it and reset 1080HD. Still trying to make 1080HD my default?

There ya go kev
Embedded that puppy for you.:y16:
I dont think there is any way you can make it your default as there are no u tube options as such.
BTW, I just realised as well, you dont need to pause to change the quality settings, you can do it on the fly.

another wee observation
as soon as the vid starts, a single click on the vid will pause it,
then a double click will take it to full screen
then, if you look at the quality setting generaly the auto will be lit up with a dot next to the res it has selected, in my case it was 360.
If you then select the highest available setting (in this case 1080 ) you can clearly see the jump in quality.
If you wernt impressed or you missed it, just go back to the 360, its like someone pinched your glasses.
