As said in another thread earlier today I took a ride out and stopped into the HAIRS aviation workshop on the way home.
Connie & friends
Before that I had the GoPro running as I climbed and descended Macquarie Pass. I've made a little promise to myself when running the camera and that is to hold back, I've seen too many people crash for the camera. At the start of this vid you see two sports bikes in front of me, I had just waned them past and made no attempt to keep with them because I'm a good boy. :y16:

This mountain pass is about 30 min south from my home and is popular with bikes, it's unusual for me to ride it on a weekend but it was such a great day I had to get out feel the wind blow past.

I made the same observations. I make it a point to to thank those that pull over. On the Dragon, if i have a faster bike behind me or a faster sports car, especially when I am two up, I pull over and let them through. I so not want to spoil their ride/drive.

A wave to thank a driver or rider for pulling over is normal for us, in this case I was personally focused on getting past with the other bikes before he came back onto the road, (they don't stop for a line of bikes to pass only swing off and swing back into the line as they run out of road). I honestly don't remember if as last in line I waved or not. Just before the vid starts I moved and waved the two sports bikes past and they did give me the wave.
As far as waving to oncoming bikes is concerned, on that road on weekends we don't normally wave, too many of them. On less frequented roads you'd find about 75% of riders do wave.

I just realized, I hope I havent started a waving thread to file with our oil threads.:y4:
Sorry for the hi jack Kev

Hi Jack ... no my name's Kevin. :y2:

Now if you want to hi jack a thread, this is how it's done.
I waiting for a delivery of a Husqvarna ride on lawn mower in the next hour or so. Do we ride on mower drivers wave to each other? If so do I figure out the Harley type of mower driver and not wave to them? Hmmmm so many questions.:y15:

Due to the occasional vibration, the harley mower drivers would be so busy holding on with both hands, and there eyes would be so blurred, I dont think waving will be an issue.

Turns out the wave or not to wave question is now irrelevant, looks like I'm never going to throw a leg over it.
This now means I don't have to start a new thread about mounting GoPros to Husqvarnas. :y2:
