After a decent 8-year run working with classic bikes, I'm shifting to full-time paycheck work with a friend who has been contracting me for the last three years doing computer, electronics, networking, communications and surveillance camera work. I'm mainly a project manager, doing about half the load of administrative & managerial stuff, and 95% of the plan and spec work. It's a growth market, and we're in a great spot to benefit from a monster bond issue that was just passed.

So, I'll still be on the forums, and FINALLY get to work on MY bikes, for a change!

Good for you.
Twill be a bit of a change getting money in the bank every week, but also a bit of a shock working when and how your told after eight years of suiting yourself.

My "boss" is a good friend of over 20 years, and I've been working with him on and off for more than 5 years new, the last three years quite steady in plan & spec work, estimating and managing work crews. He's real good to work for and with, so I know it'll be fine.

My next goal is to FINALLY finish my 2 pending restoration projects: '65 and '68 Bonnies. That will complete my '65 - '70 Bonnie lineup!

Next goal will be to find a decent '63 project, and morph my '64 T-Bird street tracker into a Bonnie; that would complete the entire lineup of "dry-frame" unit Bonnies.

Good for you GP. Sounds like a win, win except for those wanting a first class restoration any time soon. Looking forward to the Bonneville line up photo when it all comes together.

Good luck and all the very best from this side of the world.
