I just bought a blue tbird ! Wow....the blue looks soooo much better than the black one i saw. Impressive. But there is bad news. I had to drive 30+ miles to buy it and i am now home with no one to give me a ride to pick it up. Next day they're open after today is tuesday, and thats a work day. So i'm sitting here with a new bike 30 miles away and the earliest i'll likely be able to get it is next weekend. I never thought i'd be so bummed to finally buy a Tbird !

EXCELLENT :y115: :y115: :y115:
did you get to ride it.

wot, no public transport available.?

:y18:

If you don't know the L.A. area it may not seem crazy, but i took the bus from glendale to lomita ! 4 hours of stp, go, stop, go. Let me tell you, if i don't qualify as world most desperite to own a Tbird, no one does !!! :ya2: I got there right about closing time and they already had all the bikes packed into the show room with the bird at the very back. The owner wasn't too happy about that. :ya2:

Long story short, a blue Tbird now sits in my garage !!! I have to give things time to sink in and get some more miles before i try and describe it because the ride home after what turned out to be a 9 hour day was just a blur. I will say i paid a lot more than i thought i would, and theres a whole story there. but i'm burned out at the moment and need to kick back with a few beers right now and relax. More to follow, and thanks for the congrats guys. :y18:

Oh and Dilligaf....i almost did that ! I was going to but i wasn't sure when i could get a ride and there was no good place to park it for a week.

Congratulations from me as well.
How about a photo with the proud new owner sitting on the machine.
The last few cars and bikes I have picked up I have been getting a photo with the previous owner / salesman handing over the keys or shaking hands. It may sound a bit funny but good to look back on.

Example, me on left taking delivery of my 4 wheel toy.

Daz, this is great news. What a way to celebrate Independence Day - riding your new T-Bird!! Enjoy! I'm looking forward to the pics and your ride report.

thanks guys. I will definatly post some pics sometime today. I still can't get over how much better it looks than pics tho. My car will be getting a nice long rest as commuting to work goes. :ya2:

Rocky....yes, it is ! I always would think back to the day i picked up the speedy. it was one of my all time best memories. I certainly added another great one yesterday to the library of memories in my nogin. :ya2:

That blue is nice , and your right ,the TB does look better in person. I see you removed the rear pillon already? What are you still doing online? it's 8:00 you should be heading out for a ride by now :y18:

yeah, first thing i did this morning was take a pic and remove the pillion. I was surprised tho to see that in person the pillion looks way less ugly than in pics. But still like it more sans pillion. I'll probably be putting that chrome fender bib there. I need to be able to bungie things onto there like i used to do with my speedy, and i don't want to scratch up the fender.

As to the time, don't worry....i got 2 days and i have to ride LESS than 500 miles this weekend combined with all commutes to work next week because of the 500 mile oil change. And i want it done no later because i want that cheezy break in oil with the break in particles out of there. So i can't ride all weekend as much as i want. if i did i'd likely put 1000 miles on the darn thing ! :ya2:
