Joined this forum last year but haven't made a post yet. Had the option of purchasing a 1996 Triumph Trophy or a 2000-ish BMW RT1100R. Test drove both and listed pro's and con's. BMW was smooth, almost too smooth had 70K miles and asking price was $6500. Trophy had 30K miles and asking price was $3000. Well 4 years and 25K miles added to the Trophy and no regrets. Hinkley Trophy forum has been a great resource and seems to be a great group of folks in the Trophy family.

Haven't linked to any forums here at TriumphTalk but will surely take a brouse around and see what you have to offer.

Cheers, Rick

Sounds like you made the right choice. Congratulations, and a BIG WELCOME to TT. Lots of good info here and a bunch of knowledgeable fellows (not me of course) but others.
A little tip however, don't give B.C. your cell number he will text the crap out of you :y24:

AWESOME...another Trophy owner!! :y2:

This place was getting so crowded with Tigger riders, I thought they were going to change the name to TiggerTalk.

Is your '96 a 1200 or 900?

Scroll down the main forum page until you see TriumphTalk Wiki. Click there and it'lll give instructions on how to enter. Once inside the TT Wiki, scroll down to the Trophy section. Lots of good info there on your bike.

Oh...and welcome to TT from a Pittsburgh Trophy rider!

Welcome to TT from Southeast Texas.

Do we let Trophy rides post here on our Tiger forum? I guess one more cant hurt us, can it? Oh well, it won't be long until you get Tiger Fever and there is only one known cure, right Carl? Mary?

Rick, welcome to the forum from the Sunshine State and a Tiger rider as well as a Bonneville rider. And I do have a Trophy also - a 1968 Trophy. You made a good choice of rides.
